He's the kind of guy that makes sense for the Jazz to pursue, as he's got a specific trait that stands out. He's a heck of a physical force under the rim and the Jazz should really see what they have in him.

Frustrated Will Hardy: ‘Stats don’t mean (expletive). I don’t care how many points you score.’

He keeps saying that but he plays guys that suck on D and are the most selfish the most and the best and most unselfish ones the least if at all

When the Utah Jazz selected Taylor Hendricks with the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, the conversation immediately went to finding ways to get him playing time. The idea of trading Kelly Olynyk and John Collins became a topic of conversation before Collins had even taken the court, and the notion was that Hendricks was going to be the future of the team. No one knew that of the trio, it would be Keyonte George who looked the best.

He doesn't to me. Another ball dominant guard. The other two look better to me

It's concerning this is what he's doing, and it's either his action in-game or the decision of Will Hardy, and either way he has to stop that. The Jazz need him to be more physical underneath, and as a power forward you'd expect that. Especially with his rate of success from underneath compared to shooting threes.

have you seen him? He needs to put om more weight to battle down low

Of course, none of this touches his defensive struggles, which to be fair, aren't as severe as George's. He's had a rough rookie year and the hype around him is certainly gone. That doesn't mean he's done as a prospect to keep in mind for next season, but there isn't anyone who's going to say that this was the season they had envisioned for the Top 10 pick.

Why? Going into the season we knew minutes might not be there for him. Shouldn't expect 20 year olds to play. That's what the Stars are for

Of the four, Potter seems to have the most possibility to stick around, as he's the right height, has a good set of skills, and just needs reps to expand his productivity. Yet, Lofton is intriguing as heck. He may be shorter than others, but guys like Ben Wallace were short too for his position and he's a Hall of Famer. Giving Lofton the chance to play and becoming a long-term asset for the Jazz is imperative, especially since the team is going to be in need of bench players next season.

It makes no sense to ask him to wait two or three more years as you continue to chase after rookies, only for him to be a out of his prime by the time you want to compete and no longer have the same trade value. The Jazz can't keep farming for draft picks and keeping Markkanen happy. Eventually, you're going to have to pick one or the other.

I'd guess they'll move him for a big haul eventually. Different timeline than Danny's Kids

Namely: Are the Jazz on a better path now than they were? And did they maybe blow things up too early?

Should have kept Gobert, Conley and O'Neale. Them with Lauri and Sexton? Be a top team certainly. Ideally a different coach though

The Jazz made the bold choice to trade Fontecchio to the Detroit Pistons for Kevin Knox, Gabriele Procida, and a 2024 second-round pick. That second-round pick is expected to be early in the second round, making it more valuable than a conventional second-round pick, but the odds of that pick turning into a player on the level of or better than Fontecchio is low. So low, it makes no sense to make the move in the first place.

they weren't going to sign him and got something for him while opening up playing time for Hendricks and Sensabaugh and getting 2 more prospects out of it. Makes perfect sense

agreed. He talks a lot about playing D and passing the ball but the guys that do those things sit while The Bum and others play
