What do you guys think about Channing Frye? I used to be big on this guy, back when he played ball in NY. I never really see him play. Its mainly Aldridge and Joel, and with Oden coming back next season, thats more time Frye wont see. Do you guys think he'll be traded? I would love him in Indy, I think hes going to be a great PF/C when getting the minutes
I'm OK with Frye. He isn't perfect, but he puts out some good games for us. He just had two double doubles in a row. Right now he is both Aldridge and Przybilla's back up. I suspect that next year he will be just the backup PF. He is a piece that is expendable if the right trade comes up, but it isn't a must trade situation because he will still have a role on this team next year if he stays.

there were rumors a little while ago that Portland wanted to trade Frye to the Bulls for Tyrus Thomas, but Bulls rejected
Channing seems to play well as a starter, although he needs to be more consistent. I would consider Channing expendable, as he will get even less minutes next year. I don't know, would you wan't Channing or Ourlaw as your backup PF? I would lean towards Outlaw.
He can play PF. I remember a few games ago, where Mike and Mike were talking about the coaches working on Travis's post up game to try and make him play more PF minutes. I'm not saying he should get the bulk of his minutes at PF, just make him play PF when Aldridge is resting.
I personally feel a 3 big man rotation would work the best in terms of minutes and production. Oden/Aldridge/Przybilla.

I know he can play the position, I'd just rather have an actual PF like Frye play it while Outlaw sticks to SF.
Only thing I don't like about Frye is his inconsistantcy and his lack of defense which shouldn't be such a big deal next season with Joel moving to the bench.
