First time I get to see Derrick for more then a quarter and highlights, so looking forward to that.

Eric Gordon guarding him will also be a nice matchup, as will Deng v Thornton. Difference will be how badly Randolph abuses the Bulls weak post players and looking to see Camby get 3 blocks after getting none last night.

Monster game by Camby, Z-Bo was a beast again, Thornton and E.G. played well...game shouldn't even have gone into overtime

yeah the refs made quite a few questionable calls and non-calls both sides. But you cant control that, bulls themselves was a victim yesterday. What you can do is fire your coach. If he has indeed 1 full timeout that time and instead used a 20, and all he can think of is an iso for thornton, you must suck pretty bad. You've got Bdiddy and zach beasting.

cosigned, but that iso for Thornton at the end of regulation when Randolph was on fire has got to be in the top 3 dumb plays Dunleavy has called since hes been here along with Daniel Ewing on Raja Bell and the play we ran at the end of the Kings game where Ricky Davis has the ball for about 9 seconds then pass to Baron Davis who had to run a half court lap for an off balanced 3

i agree with DaBoyEcho, MikeD sure makes some bonehead moves at the end of game. Sometimes he acts like he does not understand the nuances of basketball... like you dont place 'cold' players in crucial situations, and regardless of 'tactical thinking'.. its always better to look for your 'hot hand'.

Im super frustrated with great Clipper games, that get lost by close margins, or poor officiating.

But regardless of all the uphill battle the Clippers will have to endure, i gotta say that i love the makeup of this current team. Finally this team looks a legitimate solid group that has is entertaining as well as talented.

EDIT: I wrote this before reading this mornings LA TIMES.. And Mike said that that Al T. play was actually intended for Zach, but Thornton just slashed in and took over the play....

What a horrid foul by Gordon at the end of regulation. Sheesh. Up 4 with 25 seconds on the clock. Hes made a couple of those type of errors this season. Loved how they made thier comeback, but that was a demoralizing ending

I know he has resembled CMagg in the past... but now its getting to close for comfort!

I actually think that Al. is having a difficult time dealing with being the 3rd or 4th guy. Last season he would get free opportunities to go on personal scoring runs and to be the main focus of the offence with equal footing to Kaman and CMagg. Plus, both of those players were unavailable for good amount of time due to injuries.

Now he has to deal with Davis as the main ball handler. Randolph being the go-to-guy. Camby being the receipiant of loose balls. And E.Gore getting a healthy amount of touches.

I think hes getting lost, attempting to find a suitable role.

I was thinking that with such a veteran group, that if Kaman is ultimately dealt, that it be for a savy sf who plays solid man defence. Which is something that the Clipps dont currently have. Then you can have Al Thornton come off of the bench to deliver heavy offencive power.

However I think that my notions would not sit too well with Al (who im sure enjoys being a starter) and MikeD who thinks highly of Thornton's potential.
