Default Interesting Kurt Rambis Conversation

I found this cool conversation on another forum here it is:

Quote:
So I work at starbucks in between Hawthorne and Manhatten Beach.

Anyway I've been working there for a little over a month now, and seen Kurt Rambis come in with his wife plenty of times (who by the way is pretty good looking, and tips well )..so today out of the blue I ask Kurt about Kobe's knee. My question was is Kobe knee ever going to be the same. He said no he will never have that same explosive-ness, and that quick first step..then he says..but I think this will make Kobe a better overall player..which I thought was a great statement coming from him. Anyway he went on to say Chicago looks bad, and the Heat will struggle.

kobe may only be 28 yrs old but he has 35 yrs old knees so I'm sorry to say but I think this is the start of kobe's decline, he will become a role player, will often pass the ball coz he cant move anymore, teams will no longer double team him coz he'll be hampered by his knee and aging body, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Anytime anyone has a surgery they're never the same I know cause I had one and didn't turn out well. So Kobe will have to learn to adapt to his deficiency and try even harder to be a better player like Kurt had mentioned, a stronger work ethic and will power to succeed is what separates the men from the boyz.

Come on dude get real Kobe at 28 years of age is just now hitting his prime and teams have the utmost respect for his game that all Kobe has to do is lace up a pair of sneakers and teams will continue to double team him just like he's white on rice. Kobe's work ethics and determination will overcome his setback so thinking Kobe's on the decline is an inaccurate judgement however your entitled to your opinions . Keep in mind that a Kobe that's not 100% is still better than most of the players in this league!

Very well said! And, I totally understand Rambis' comments if they are true.

I know I will personally never be able to ball up like I have in the past and my hardcore mountain bike days are over. Then again, I am no Kobe! I do recognize that I will not be quite the same, but I will still be able to have fun and do the things I like for the most part.

Hopefully Kobe will adjust his game and learn to do new and different things that make him better!

Kobe needs to be humble, problem with kobe is his arrogance, he thinks he's unstoppable but he's not anymore, its time to make amends to all the people he wronged, dont ignore your detractors, let them speak their mind, just play your game and take care of business, dont shout to the world that you are the man, let us decide if you are the man and only then you can achieve greatness, I know its hard to be humble, just buy a book entittled Humble for Dummies, it will guide you on how to become a humble person.

Where does his arrogance come in???

time and time again hes always crediting his teammates every single game and is distributing the ball much more....averaging WAY less than 20 shots per game now.

What your saying sounds great but your addressing a problem that has already been solved.

P.S. Hes not unstoppable because hes still at 75%

Dude, I think Kobe has matured and that he is past that.... years ago, I would have agreed with you, but I dont agree anymore. I do think this has finally gotten through to him.

Hey man why dont you back off lakerfreak. He is one of the most respected posters here. And your just new. Stop being so disrespectful. And nobody likes your annoying and dumb comments. So why dont you get a book POSTING FOR DUMMIES. Because you need to learn how to respect peoples opnions. And argue what you think but dont start name calling. Just keep it good quality and intelligent posting that is all.
