I think he'll end up being a good pickup for the Hornets. They wanted him 2 years ago when he played in the Hornets summer league but he couldn't pass up the guaranteed 2 year contract from the Kings.
Backup point guard Bobby Brown shows he'll be a good fit in Hornets' plans this season
ATLANTA -- Hornets Coach Byron Scott said he likes that backup point guard Bobby Brown challenges and is unwilling to back down against Chris Paul, who reigns as the NBA's best.
Apparently, that's going to apply to everyone else in the NBA, too.
Brown scored a game-high 23 points on Monday night in the Hornets' preseason opener, a 108-102 loss to Atlanta at Philips Arena.
Brown, acquired from Minnesota along with Darius Songaila in a trade for Antonio Daniels this offseason, scored 16 in the second half, when he was 5-of-7 from the field.
"(Scott) wants me to come in and bring energy," Brown said. "If I have an open look, take the shot."
Brown had a game-high 16 field-goal attempts in 31 minutes, and the Hornets used his aggression to slice into an Atlanta lead that was 62-36 at halftime. The Hawks outscored New Orleans 30-12 in the second quarter.
"Our energy in the first half," Paul quickly cited as his main dislike.
