I'm watching NBATV and they are doing a Pistons season preview, their Prediction is they'll go 2-8 after the 1st 10 games. I take it even the " experts " don't have faith in our new team.

I'd like to see those experts go to Vegas and put their money on that. The Pistons aren't the contenders we were used to in the past but they aren't one of the worst teams in the league. They are mediocre. They aren't Boston, Cleveland, or Orlando. They probably aren't as good as Washington. They could potentially finish behind Chicago too. They will probably finish behind Atlanta and Toronto too. They should end up with about a 7 or 8 seed in the playoffs though. I highly doubt they go 2-8. Vegas has Detroit winning about 41 games this year which sounds about right. I trust those predictions a little more since that's how those people put food on the table.

I am really worried about the opener against Memphis. If Iverson plays, it could be disastrous for us. All that negative energy over the past year, all the comments, the ABC Iverson-Billups comparison will drive him to shove it down our throats. A motivated Iverson is dangerous to anyone.

I'm guessing Iverson won't be able to play. Even if he does, Memphis doesn't scare me much.

For sure, I think everyone is starting to see why I appreciate what Rip brings to the Pistons every night and didn't want to see him replaced.
