Default I just went out of my way and bought NBA Live 2010

So, I bought 2K10 the day it came out [The special edition version as well!]. It's a great game, and it has potential to be AMAZING. However, the glitches annoyed me so much, to the point where it was unplayable. I am aware there is a new patch coming out within the next few weeks that will supposedly fix most, if not all of the problems.

However, I loved the Live Demo. It seemed to flow well, it didn't really seem all TOO arcadey as some people made it out to seem. So, since I couldn't wait for 2K to finish the patch [Even though I have Forza 3, Fifa 10, etc. etc.] I went out and bought Live 2010.

I open it up, all excited and all...and then...the players don't look as smooth as they should? The player bodies/proportions seem off. It looks like their heads are not proportional to their body, and everybody can steal the ball on every freaking play! There's no 'realistic'/'physics' aspect to the game. You just run up and down and shoot. It doesn't seem like there's any 'strategy' or there's any 'passing' involved as it does in 2K. I don't feel like the game is smooth at all as far as basketball goes. Yes, it doesn't have any framerate issues, but it doesn't flow as a basketball game SHOULD flow.

Maybe I just have to get used to it, but I feel like I'm out $60 that I could have used elsewhere.

Anybody know if I can return it to Wal-Mart/Target [I bought it from Best Buy], and get a full refund back or whatever?

If you had gotten it at Wal-Mart and still had your receipt they'd give you your money back. You should still be able to get store credit from any of those stores though without the receipt. I don't know Best Buy's return policy and if they'll refund your money without a receipt. I guess you could use the store credit for another game or some CDs or movies or something.

There are some of people on craigslist looking to swap 2k10 for Live.

How stupid can they be? You just buy the game and install it + a crack, then return it.
OMG why don't I live in the US?

It doesn't work like that -- at all. Open media is the ONLY thing which cannot be returned. Department stores will take back used underwear before they accept an open DVD/video game.

I've returned an open video game to Wal-Mart, with receipt, and got my money back. I don't know if every Wal-Mart does that, but then again, Wal-Mart doesn't have a super strict return policy. Other department stores do.
