SMFH. You have always struck me as more rational than this statement reflects and I know you know the game well. While I agree it's not time to hit the panic button and it's a long season, I seem to remember the Lakers being really hot last season until they beat the Cavs in Cleveland, then coasting through the rest of the season and into the playoffs, then finally waking up again halfway through the Denver series (WCF).

I'm not saying I agree with it but it is the case and you know what happened last season and the way they coasted through many games. I hate that they do it but they are so talented that they can get away with it.

I agree completely with your post...Lakers have been quite poor in general and are lucky to be 4-1 right now but thats what champions do...they drag out wins from nothing.

To play two overtime games back to back with the all-star PF out shows alot of championship fight. The effort is not there that is true but you have to admire their will to pull games out.

Yeah it's nothing to worry about. Lakers management just tells the players to keep the score close until the very end, so that the fans won't leave before the game is over. Traffic works out smoother that way.
