Re: is Orlando the deepest team in the league.
I really like Denver's overall talent right now. Lawson has been an instant impact player, and shows he'll be their pg of the future. He may be the best decision maker on that team already (yes that includes Chauncey)...he's a straight up basketball player with great smarts for the game and the talent to boot and playing well on both sides of the ball. Afflalo seems like he'll develop into an Ariza type player, and maybe better (I think he has better handles). Graham has been a solid contributor. Balkman should play. Anthony Carter is solid when not overly used, and should be on the bench instead of starting where Afflalo should be. Birdman is obviously a strong contributor.
And they're still waiting on JR Smith to return from suspension, after a year where I think he had his breakout year. Not in terms of showing his talent, but puting it all together in terms of versatility offensively and playing defense and playing smart. JR, Ty and Birdman off the bench I think is about as formiddable as most trios off the bench. JR most definitely would start for most teams, and I think soon enough most would say the same for Ty.
That along with Melo (one of the best players in the league), Billups (one of the top pgs in the league and maybe top 15 player), Kenyon and Nene is strong depth.
