what the fukc!!!!.. this whole time i've always thought it was a travel if i took more than 2 steps without dribbling the ball. omgaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawd guise.. no fukcccing wonder nba players cruise across the court so easily. i know it's stupid, but i was honestly unaware of this.. i just looked up the rule book and figured it out last night.
please tell me i'm not the only one who didn't know this..

I used to play with a kid who can run down the court in 5 dribbles. He ran super fast but dribbled slow. I was curious about this rule, but I never actually looked it up.

In the rulebook, yeah perhaps it says so, but in a game situation, I still wouldn't be surprised if a ref called carry/travel, it'll probably depend on the ref. Not all refs are the same, each of them would have their own unique interpretation of the rules.
