On my computer, every once in a while, my computer will shut down and a blue screen with this message pops up.
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus disk defragmentation or back up utilities. Check your hard drive configuration and check for any updated drives. Run CHKDSK / F to check for hard drive corruption and then restart your computer.
Anyone know what the problem is? I have done what it says (or at least tried) but it still pops up.
It's the blue screen of death/BSOD. Otherwise known as: you're f*cked. Reformat and physically check the integrity of your hardware. You might be overheating, various hardware might be failing, etc.
My best advice: buy a new computer. No need to deal with BS like this when decent computer deals could be had at places like Walmart for $300.

That's my old computer. I only use it just to download different software, ect.
The computer I'm typing from right now, I don't download nothin' on it.
A year? Well, damn, then it probably just overheats. Not a really big deal. Are your fans currently working? When's the last time you cleaned your case out [if ever?].
Reformat, open up the tower, make sure everything's good looking and hooked in, blow it out with a air, make sure all the fans are cutting on.
If you can't identify the problem if you have a local computer shop they can usually diagnose the problem for like $20 so you can at least know what ti is, and if it's something simple you can buy the part yourself and replace it yourself.
If it's not simple you can go online and look up how to remove something like a motherboard and replace it.
