Bottomline, the only 2 teams in the East who were actual proven contenders were the Detroit Pistons and the Miami...With that Pistons core now broken up, I'd say the Heat chances of repeating have shot up a few percetanges.
Yeah, action speak louder than words. But it IS something plausible to put out there...
No its not considering how the Bulls took it to Miami and adding Big Ben and whatever else that can be helpful dealing Tyson they could defeat them.
NJ, Chi, Clev made additions to help themselves. Miami hasnt. Miami was never dominant. Easy road? Pffft whatever you and other may say. I dont particulary see it.
Wow, I can't believe Big Ben got such a huge contract. I suppose he'll definitely improve the Bulls, but I don't see him making them instant title contenders, especially considering how tight the east will likely be next season. Of course, if they run into the Heat in the playoffs again, their odds will be that much better. I just hope they didn't throw so much cash at Ben that they can't address other needs...

Chicago has no other needs. And with NY's #1 overall Greg Oden draft pick next season, any need that is revealed will be taken care of.
Chicago is perfect right now. They have their big 2 guard in Europe's best defender Thabo from Switzerland. And PJ Brown and Tyrus Thomas can score the rock down low.

1. NY winning the lottery next year is no gurantee
2. Greg Oden coming out next draft is no gurantee
3. Reading your post you seem to think #1 & #2 will happen
4. Belieivng in #3 is like belieivng Jesus will return. Chances are slim

I agree. People are foolish thinking it's a lock that Oden will be in next year's draft, and even MORE foolish to assume the Bulls will get him even if he IS available. Wishful thinking.
