I know guys hate these moves, and that's fine, what i hate is the complaining of such when the bigger issue is higher than that.
Our highest paid player is unable to play at the highest level.
No one off any bench solves that.
I dont disagree with any of those points really. But Melo is our highest paid player and this is about Stat's injury and replacing him etc.....
Melo (Superstar) cant carry this team (which Superstars do) But he can help the TEAM win though.

not from what i've seen maybe these numbers are inaccurate.
Melo
BASE SALARY
2012 20,463,024
2013 22,407,474
2014 24,351,924
Stat
BASE SALARY
2012 19,948,799
2013 21,679,893
2014 23,410,988
doesnt matter neither can carry a team but they can help the team win as a collective.

Those numbers for Melo aren't correct.
Still doesn't erase my point.
Backups are not picked to replace starters in long term.
Ultimately, our highest paid player will have to play bench minutes to extend his career.
The issue on that is hardly the bench on this issue.

Melo doesn't make more than Stoudemire until 2014-2015

Stat may be out for the whole month of November.
"Dr. Thomas Carter, whom Stoudemire consulted for a second opinion on the ruptured cyst in his left knee, mainly agreed with the Knicks’ medical staff:
Stoudemire should be healthy by roughly the end of November
Carter’s assessment of Stoudemire’s knee matched most of what the Knicks thought in terms of the severity of the injury and how long it would take to heal, said Happy Walters, Stoudemire’s agent. But Walters used the phrase "several more weeks" in describing what Carter felt should be the appropriate length of Stoudemire’s rehabilitation. The Knicks initially said Stoudemire would return to the team within two to three weeks."

Re: And just like that, Stoudemire out 2-3 weeks
I know its not 100% his fault. He didnt ASK to get injured. However, Im becoming a bit exhausted with him foreal. I just dont like how #1 he isnt available when he is needed most. #2 He doesnt return with a sense of urgency or seem anxious to get acclimated. #3 he doesnt deflect the blame from guys like Melo and our bench, who take on the burden everytime he is out. With the exception of the extinguisher incident, he has been exempt from a lot of blame lately. Ive seen teammates stick up for him. Ive seen him simply plead the 5th in return.
