Back in the day I remember you couldn't pay someone to buy their clothes at Walmart. I also didn't really see any huge savings on standardized electronic items like smart phones, gaming consoles, etc...

The only things I'd buy at Walmart would be household items / appliances that I wouldn't know where else to buy other than amazon.com these days. Maybe K-mart? lol
Up until 3/4 years ago when GameStop came in Wal-Mart was the only place to get basically anything electronic in my little town. Audio/visual related anyway. Any gaming stuff, TVs, DVDs.

Hey dipshit, you still think they'd be making 10-12 an hour if they had a union?

Always funny to see the unions' minions who don't work for for my company running to the media to talk about how bad I have it working for my company.

There was no best buy? Or any shopping mall around your area? I know both these places are gone, but Tommy Ks and Blockbuster used to have that kind of stuff.

Not inside of a half hour drive each way. Blockbuster here closed years ago, before GameStop. That drive's worth it if you're buying a big new TV or home entertainment system or something, maybe, but if you just want some DVDs or PS3/360 games it's not.

It's almost 2013, and let's be honest, this is Wal-Mart. With those two things in mind, if you don't like the pay or working conditions, quit and find a new job. It's as simple as that. Nobody's got a gun to your head and it's not like it's some highly specialized type of work. You don't need to put up with this shit if you don't want to.

they aren't evil, they just don't pay their employees a livable wage. So on top of small mom and pop stores becoming extinct because there is no way they can ever compete with Walmart (or Kmart or Amazon, etc), you got bunch of people working full time for a company that still depend on gov. assistance.
