Tayshaun Prince learning to fit in with Grizzlies
Prince spent All-Star weekend packing his Oakland County home for the move to Memphis. He spent Sunday night there while teammates stayed in a local hotel. The movers came on Monday.
Prince is no longer a go-to guy. He is shooting 49.2 percent from the field since joining the Grizzlies, which would be a career high. He also is shooting 40 percent from 3-point range. Those are good numbers but Prince isn't shooting as much. He averaged 10.8 shots with the Pistons to just 9.8 with the Grizzlies.
He also is averaging 3.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists. His highlight came during an 18-point, 8-for-8 shooting night against Minnesota. The troubling part has been defense. Memphis gives up 113 points per 100 possessions with Prince on the floor and 105.5 when he is on the bench.
