Default Temple loses two players to academics

"Temple's basketball team, and new coach Fran Dunphy, will be without senior center Wayne Marshall and junior guard Mark Tyndale for the first semester. They were declared academically ineligible, but can return after that if they meet NCAA guidelines. That's not good news for the Owls, who lost their top two scorers from last season: first-round NBA draft pick Mardy Collins and Antywane Robinson. Only one freshman, guard Luis Guzman, has been added to the roster." Philadelphia Daily News

"Two other forwards recruited by John Chaney did not make it to North Broad Street. Matt Shaw, at his request, was released from his national letter of intent and signed with Nevada-Las Vegas. Mike Scott didn't meet the eligibility requirements and opted not to come here as a Prop 48 casualty at this time." Philadelphia Daily News
