With all the moves made this off season we wouldn't be hurting so bad from beyond the arc if he were still on the roster. I just don't think that was the right move letting him go to Utah I still question that move till this day. Kareem Rush may or may not be the answer for our beyond the arc woes. In my opinion he is extremely streaky and isn't nowhere near as accurate as Korver who is automatic from beyond the arc. I would feel alot better going into this season with Korver still on this roster and the more I think about it that was probably a trade I least liked out of Ed.
The Kyle Korver trade was for cap relief, and cap relief ONLY. In no way did Stefanski favor Giricek over Korver. Without the Korver trade, WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO OFFER BRAND BECAUSE 4 MILLION WOULD STILL BE ON OUR PAYROLL THIS YEAR.
It did 2 things...
1. Clear our cap space to offer Brand more money (he wouldn't have signed for 7 mil)
2. Gave us a 1st round pick, which we then sent to Minnesota in a trade to give us EVEN MORE money for Brand.
If Kyle Korver is still on the roster, Elton Brand isn't. Which one you want?
