Default The division just got a lot tougher

WTF is Detroit thinking? Great move by Denver.

Detroit just got a HUGE expiring contract(like 22 mill).
I'm curious to see how long it takes Billups to click in Denver.

The expiring contract doesn't help them now.

He didn't do anything before he went to Detroit but he should fit right in with Denver. They can start a big guard now. They have others that can pick up the scoring lost.

Iverson's expiring contract helps a lot more than Raef Lafrentz'. He will give Detroit a very clear first option. That is something they haven't had with their balanced attack. Billups was the "big shot", but the 4 all star thing wasn't working out.

Billups/Mello will be together for a while. Sounds like a good combo to me.

The other bad news is I'm sure Detroit will consider going after our Bigs next summer.

Not this year it doesn't.

Not necessarily a good thing. They've been good cuz of their team play. AI isn't a team player.

Depends on your definition of working out. How many straight conference finals? Impressive! Big question marks in Detroit now.

Billups and a back court partner that's not 6' sounds even better.

They had Okur. Let him go for a reason. If Milsap could play the way he played last nite in the 4th consistently they wouldn't miss Boozer.

Yes, they have been successful. I would like that level of success a lot more than you Xiao. You always complain about Utah being happy to be above 500. I think it is more of a rebuild for Detroit.

Ask any Pistons fan if they miss Memo. Milsap played very well. He is a perfect hustle forward. Would you feel comfortable running an offense through him? Calling plays for him when you must score?

Doesn't matter if they don't make it back to the conference finals.

When you have some of the best players ever to play the game a winning record isn't enough.

Why do you rebuild when you're been in the conference finals every year?

Ask Dumars.

If he could do what he did last nite consistently definitely.

Yes it does. If you stay above 500 through a rebuilding phase, you're in good shape. Teams trade players for expirers all the time in order to rebuild. Sometimes those expirers don't contribute anything but helping the books square. Iverson could even make them better. His iso might be what Detroit needs.

Because your fan base is wants more. Because every member of your team is 40 and you have some nice young pieces to bring to the front. Because you're not going to make it there this year. Idk, ask Dumars.

Mr. Dumars, how did you feel about letting your second round draft pick go to Utah and make the all star game so you could develop Darko Milicic?

He can't. His game is all about cleanup and hustle. He will be a perfect roleplayer starting for a team that has plays for their stars.

I woulndn't say Detroit is in a rebuilding process. Why should conference finalists rebuild? With or without AI they still have plenty of talent.

Possibly but very questionable. He's never been a team player and Detroit has exemplified team play.

Dumars isn't satisfied but does this trade please the Detroit fanbase? No one is near 40 on their team.

Doesn't sound like a starter to me. He was showing nice post moves. Wasn't just cleanup and hustle.

Even in the RMR his post moves seem awkward to me. I mean, the ball goes in the hoop, but is is usually a flip shot from a strange stance with his arms extended horizontally. I guess it doesn't matter what it looks like....just can't see him posting up, calling for the and being justified.

The spin move on Tim Thomas was beautiful not awkward at all. Should have been the Diamond Jewler play of the game but they went with the dunk instead. I know it was Tim Thomas not KG.
