Default My thoughts on Russel Westbrook:

I was happy that we drafted Russel Westbrook out of UCLA with the fourth pick of the 2008 nba draft. He will compliment Durant and Green nicely. However, does anyone feel like we are using him wrong when we call him a point guard?

When I watch Thunder games I feel like he can only show off his athleticism and talent when Watson is in the game and he is playing Shooting Guard. I think Shooting Guard is his natural position and you can't force him into being a point guard.

While I'm ranting does anyone feel like Watson looks great when we are already down by 20 but when we close to the lead he can't hit a shot?

Last thing I wanted to mention was that I think Collison looks great this year and I heard people discussing trading him before the season for draft picks (myself included). Since seeing him play this year I'd say we should definitley keep him on this team that is young and looking towards the future. Besides, we already have 2 first round draft picks next year, I think that is enough.

Tell me what you think...

i think for sure you want to use him at pg during his carrer- he is still learning the nba point & is a rookie- his greatest advantages will come at pg- it may take time, but imo westbrook will be a top 5 pg for a long time w paul, williams, & rose (and maybe jennings or rubio)

i admit to being a huge westbrook fan so maybe its easier to see the potential, but westbrook is an all star nba point gaurd in the making

its like durant imo- durant could play sf but his greatest advantage is sg, russ can get out at sg & be the scorer, but has world class potential at pg

I am a big fan of him too. I just don't see the potential right now though. Bless your patience though I have none

Which really dosen't help when you root for a team that is 100% about the future.
