Default COD: world at war

Great game, as I expected. The game as a whole hasn't changed much from cod4, which I consider a good thing. Still working through single player. Coop was actually a lot of fun because you kept score through each mission, and compared at the end of it.

Multiplayer been pretty good so far, although I feel the dogs are a little to powerful. One instance the dogs were called in, so I went up some stairs in a house and waited for them with a machine gun. I took out three dogs and a fourth one got me. You can't hide from them either, they'll find you, and people usually follow them for an easy kill. Mortar attacks are basically the same as airstrikes, but they take a while to launch. I'm not a big fan of the tanks though, they tend to control the match.

COD 5 and 4 are made by completely different companies though; it is really quite different.

COD5 is by the same people who made 3, while the people who made 4 (Infinity Ward) are the same people who made COD2.,

Yeah, but Treyarch (the lesser of the devs) always uses the stuff infinity created, so they aren't really that different.

I won't be getting this just to spite going back to WW2. Modern Warfare was awesome. The way everything looked so today and high tech. WW2 is/was so played out in the game industry its sad they all keep wanting to go back to that era.

There are so many solid shooters to choose from right now, anyone making a WW2 one again can go **** themselves.

Also, did anyone find it kind of odd that this game came out on remebrance/veterans day? Almost seems disrespectful.

I haven't actually played the regular war combat mode, but I did play the Nazi Zombies mode, and it was freaking awesome. Loads of fun if you play with others on that mode.

I was as skeptical as anyone about going back to WW2 and WAW being similar to COD3. But I loved this game, the controls and the set-up are the same as COD4 and they did such a good job that it doesn't even matter that they went back to WW2. If you loved COD4, you'll love WAW. I can't believe I'm not hearing more positives about it.

Infinity Ward made the best COD to date....and perhaps one of the greatest games of all time. I'll be waiting for their next entry and passing on the crap in between.

It's the same. The controls are the same, the graphics are the same. It all looks the same as COD4 even down to the Fonts and the Killcam and the +5, everything. It's just like Infinity Ward made it (it's just set in WW2).
