Default Too late or too early to pick up Monta?

When is everyone starting to pick up Monta Ellis? I don't want to be too late and miss out on his potential. My team recently went from 9th place to 7th, so if I pick him up too early it might push me back down the standings again. If I pick him up, who do I drop?

Here's my team:
PG: Baron Davis
SG: Terry
G Manu Ginobilli
SF: Hedo
PF: Gerald Wallace
F: Marion
C: Bynum
UTIL: Ilgauskas
UTIL:Nate Robinson

Bench: Hawes
Bench: Duhon
Bench: David Lee

It would probably have to be Chris Duhon for Monta Ellis. Although Duhon played pretty ridiculously last game. How often are you playing Duhon? What are the roster change setting at? Daily? Weekly?

From Yahoo sports

"Dec 2 G Monta Ellis (ankle) is progressing toward a return late this month after having originally been projected to miss at least the first two months of the season following surgery to repair the damage suffered in a moped accident. The Warriors have suspended Ellis for the first 26 games (through Dec. 17) of the regular season for having violated terms of his contract."

So picking him up this week or next would be a good idea. I'd definitely do it now if rosters are set to weekly changes.

Yeah, we have Daily changes. So, I might struggle a little with a hole in my line up. Are you sure I will benefit from a week or 2 off...Do I make the move?

Honestly, I would have second thoughts if I were to drop Duhon for Monta. Barring injury, you know Duhon is gonna be the sole distributor on the offense driven Knicks team but Monta brings a lot of doubts. How will he fit into the rotation? Will he have chemistry with his new teammates? Is his injury completely healed?
