Yes it's still early but I don't care how well this current team gels, at best we are probably slightly above average.. And then I read this in a game recap:
Quote:
Bosh didn’t appreciate the fans sounding off as the tide turned against Toronto.
“If I want to get booed, I’ll go on the road,” Bosh said. “It’s really tense right now. When you’re down three points at home and you’re getting booed, that’s kind of disheartening. Whether the crowd knows it or not, they play a big part in the game.”
We're not winning games, Bosh is not happy and Colangelo isn't making any moves.. Is it still too early to push the panic button?
Right now you can see its the players. Jay already done a lot since he took over. It seems once they got a big lead, they just taking it for granted. Its up to the players now.
I have to say thou, Bosh was garbag tonight, keep taking jumpers when he knows he needs to get into the lane to make this team afffective.
Edit: I have to add thou, we do need some new blood.

I agree that the players that we do have are not playing up to their capabilites. They are slumping after they give up a lead and settling way too much for outside jumpers... But not only would a major trade improve our team but it would bring back that fire we had back at the beginning of the season when the optimism was sky high. And it needs to happen sooner rather than later before we dump this season and Bosh starts to seriously contemplate leaving in 2010.
We lost to the Sonics last year in Seattle, so you'll never know....
actually, they are probably licking their chops at the prospect of playing us at this point. coming off tight losses to the Spurs and Mavs recently and KD being on fire, they are probably so ready to get their 3rd win of the season right now and our team would be the team to get it against... i'm not hoping for a loss, but I can't call this game anything close to a guarantee.

maybe a loss to OKC will trigger the panic in BC and he will do something before we dig ourselves a bigger hole..

Colangelo thought that FRONTCOURT DEPTH was our problem. Can you believe that. Frontcourt depth???? Isn't that why he got Jermaine O'neal? Then he signs Jake Voskuhl who was a 6/5 player in his PRIME and has yet to log a single minute for us, and probably never will... as if he was supposed to be our savior or something... I'm seriously questioning dude's intelligence level these days.. We as Raptors fans (not directed at you) are giving him some kind of lifetime achievement award for producing one successful season in what was at the time a weak conference and an even weaker division.
I am so on the fence. I was not ready to push the panic button yet. Sometimes they look great. (16-2 start vs NJ), double digit leads vs Boston and Dallas. However, as we've seen, if Bosh is off, there's no chance.
I would like to see them have a little more practice time before making any rash decisions. On the other hand, maybe some new blood is what they need to jumpstart them. I can't help but think (maybe hope) that the Raptors are going to catch fire in the New Year and this will all be a blip.
It's a good thing I'm not a GM. I would have traded the whole team for a highschool marching band after the last two choke jobs. Hopefully Coangelo is little more level headed that me and find some good value.
Though I am rapidly losing faith in the Golden Goy.
i don't understand why Colangelo hasn't made any moves yet, it's not to early like 6 teams have already made serious trades and changes including his former team the suns ........ losing is NEVER good and if you can avoid by making some deals than its better because the more we lose it's going to be alot harder to make all these games up and were in a race for the 7th and 8th spot with 5 other teams ...... right now i would say Colangelo isn't going that good of a job we need some things and he isn't doing it, some players who we could of have that would of fit well .... Crawford and Richardson are already GONE, i guess we will have to keep waiting but BOSH doesn't seem happy AT ALL .....

Maybe he is still helping the Suns out under the table ...... they did get a steal in Jason Richardson ...... Steve Kerr isn't that smart
It's absolutely time to panic. I think we will beat OKC, which will not be an accomplishment, but this team is plain bad.
Our "mvp" continues to take jumper after jumper and our D is terrible. This is dramatic, but what could we possibly do though to be anything more then a one and done team?
I have always felt that Colangelo has made his fair share of mistakes, and the current roster is flawed, big time. JO is a shell of his former self and he was supposed to be the difference maker.
My guess is that he can't get anyone to bite. He probably can only trade for players that will bring back the same level of talent. What's the point in that? We really could use a steal right now.
