Default Assassin's Creed sequal...

I've recently dusted off my copy and am playing through it yet another time, and I'm really in love with the premise. We have all heard about the Templar / Freemason conspiracy stories, and seeing a similar tale in a game is very entertaining. While the game isn't without it's faults, the story has virtually limitless possibilities in future games, and recent news may point to a French Revolution setting for the next incarnation of A.C. I hope they can build upon A.C. and create an even better experience. This would make a great movie BTW.

If they were to fix the overly repetitive nature of the game, I'd be all for it. I bought it because it looked sick, played well (for the part I played) and was just all around badass playing as an assassin in the crusades time period. By about the 3rd hour in, though, it got a bit boring. Go here, go there, kill so and so, etc.

You're right, the setting, story, etc. is awesome, though. And a French Revolution theme would be nuts. Just fix some of the gameplay first please.

If you didn't finish it, I suggest you do, because there's a twist at the end that is pretty badass for the story's potential. The repetitive gameplay is something I think they should fix, and I have a lot of ideas about how the next one should go.

One of the best things in AC for me was after the first mission, when I was asked to go to Jerusalem via horseback. Something happened and I lost my horse, so I had to stealthily make my way to Jerusalem, since it was too darned difficult to find hiding places outside. Then, I found out that I could just steal a horse and gallop my wa to jerusalem, detected or undetected.

On to the bad things. I found parts of the game being linear in a way. The only places you could hide from are haystacks, those little houses at the roofs, I think that's about it. C'mon, you can be more creative than that. Make the "hiding" mechanics like MGS4.

Also, unlike the opening movie, you can't hide with monks while being pursued. That's just wrong. Also, the Monks stay at one point of the map and seems like they are just waiting for you to join them before they make their way at various point of the place.

That praying button also takes the cake for lamest thing in the world. You mean to tell me that by just stooping down you'd magically stay invisible?

Yes you can. But you have to break the line of sight first. Just like when you hide in a haystack or those things on the roofs. You can also sit on a bench.

Oh but in the movie, you got cornered by the guards then suddendly the door behind you opens and monks come out, then you disappear.

Try that in game and the monks will be scurrying away

I wish they made it so that he actually has a hawk, now that would be cool. It's a shame the fights got so repetitive...

I really liked the first one. don't know why.

I managed to run through it the first time pretty quick.
then went back through the second time and completed almost all of the achievements. I think I got around 900 out of 1000 achievement points.

I'll probably give the 2nd one some play time.
