Default JO for Marion straight up!

JO straight up for Marion and 1st round pick. Marion looks sluggish with Miami's offence and is better suited in T.O. JO fits perfect in Miami alongside Beasley and could mentor the guy. Lets get this done BC.

"lets get this done b.C"?
I would rather have O'neal than Marion to be honest.. O'neal is much effective on the court.

Are you serious? JO is hardly on the court because of injuries plus we have Bargs playin the ball of his life. We have Jawaii who is coming at the end of January and Voshkuhl which leaves us with enough depth. I would like to add 1 more thing however to this tread thread. Since we gave up quite a bit to get JO I would also like a pick from Miami. That also shaves about $4million off the books so we can sign Delfino. Or we could use the money in a move at the trade deadline.

JO(21Million)2yr

for

Marion(17 million)1yr - resign in offseason
1st(top ten protected)

i'd do this, pretty sure BC would too
doubt Miami would be up for it tho
even though it makes perfect sense since beasly and marion play similiar roles

Don't know if i could stand looking at Marion's ugly shot game in and game out. That would be aweful, especially when he's missing. I think resigning him would be a difficult task also. I would rather trade J.O for a Josh Howard or Gerald Wallace type player and fillers, they would be a better fit because they can attack the hoop in traffic.

I knew you would say this, lets wait and give him 20+ consecutive games before "actually" discussing about moving Oneal and having Bargnani as starting C, thats discussing only. Id say if he plays this way for over a year, I think Im up for it, but as for Bargs being consistent chances are he is going to slow down for a long period of time like the other times.

I think I would consider it because of JO's contract but other than that as player-to-player trade, it's a bad trade for the raps

Also Marion is pretty small to be our C, and we can't put Bosh at C, because it is a nightmare.

So Miami gives up a $17 mill expiring contract AND a first round pick on a rebuilding team to get Jermaine O'Neal's corpse.....hmmmm...something tells me Miami wouldn't be interested.

Agreed. Some things written here are ridiculous.

Expecting to get Marion AND a first rounder for JO? You've gotta be kidding me. I hate calling people out, especially on message boards, but seriously, use your head.

Marion would be good in two ways... see if he can be added to our core which would be a huge plus, and if not, expiring contract a year earlier than JO's... adding a mid first round pick to that would be gravy for the Raptors.

I won't call any individual out, but this proposal is just unrealistic.

I don't think anyone agreed.

From a Raptors' perspective I think everyone would agree, but there is a such thing as common sense which I'm quite sure the Miami Heat front office has.

I'm pretty sure it's just a fan proposal. Miami doesn't have a lot to gain by doing that trade.

Throw away the 1st from Miami and its still a good move for the raps. Miami needs a C more than anything.

You must think BC is probably the most unintelligent GM in the league then if you consider what we gave up to get JO. TJ ford who is a young top 5 PG in East an expiring contract in Rasho + a 1st rounder just for JO

So I guess we should start a burn BC alive thread then right?
