Default Fallout: New Vegas

The new Fallout will be set in Las Vegas.

The good news is that a post-apocalyptic game set in Las Vegas has the potential to be incredibly bad ass.

The bad news is that the game is set to release next year, and thus will probably be a crappy redo of the original.

A few things on my wishlist.

1. VATS is so powerful when leveled correctly, maybe try and balance it out.
2. More choices of builds. It's impossible to be a big gun wielder and survive early in the game. Perhaps make a pistol firing crit-based build. Or a close quarter build. Also, more armor variety would be nice.
3. Make it possible to have multiple allies.
4. More character development. You just tend to run around doing errands.

Also, I know fallout is set in post apocalyptic times, but they made it too real that it actually feels depressing to play fallout.

was Vice City a crappy redo of GTA 3? No it was arguably better, and came out only a year later. They have two years for Vegas. It's gonna be great. Betheseda never disappoints.

I am looking forward to this game, there are a lot of things which I felt could have been improved in Fallout 3. Once you figure out VATS it becomes way too powerful, the story was not nearly long enough for a Bethesda game, and the replay value just felt a little low. On my first playthrough, I LOVED the game, but 10 days later I had beaten everything and it quickly became boring.

Very true. I felt the same after going on my 2nd playthrough. After figuring out where to put my stats, attributes, and skills, enemies were no match. Also, that stupid ass ending just took away any replay value from your first playthrough.

I always felt Fallout was better than Oblivion, but after finishing Fallout, it fell kinda flat.

In a comparison of Fallout vs Oblivion, I feel its too close to call since both games are amazing.

But I'll say this... I've owned both and I sometimes I really wish I had kept Oblivion. Dont really feel the same about Fallout.

This is a must buy for me. Had no idea about this. I'll proably get this on release day.

Seeing this topic again, another question:

Will Bethesda finally make a game with a character creation tool that doesn't make every character look like this?:

Please? This game features dramatic closeups of my character's face, please make it so that it at least looks like a human being.

Betheseda is not actually making it. They will be supervising and Obsidian will make it.
