Default Under the current CBA, how many players have taken less money to go to a worse team?

More rumors I hear of LeBron going to New York.

And also, if a player wants to depart a team who has his Bird Rights, does he have to sign for a certain amount of time with the new team? Or could he do a two-year deal with a player option for a third or something like that?

If LeBron left the Cavs, would he stop being your favorite player PB?

Of course. I'd repsect Kobe over him.

God another thread about LeBron to NY. To answer your question I think the only player that did that is Baron Davis, and that was on the promise that Brand was still going to be there.

Agreed. I would stop being a fan of Lebron if he left Cleveland. It would be the equivalent of marrying some really hot chick you knew your whole life, and then she divorces you for some f*cked up loser.

I would stop cheering for him if he left, but I certainly wouldn't cheer against him.

What's the difference?

Anyway, I would distain the dude. Sorry that's how it goes. If we sucked that would be another story. He has more reasons to stay here than leave. Simple premise. It would show a great deal of his character. He would leave me no choice but to lose absolutely every once of repsect I have for him as a person.

Rick Fox turned down more money to win 3 rings with the Lakers

The difference is that I would no longer be a fan of his. But on the flip side I would not hate him, he owes nothing to Cleveland or its fans and it would be completely business for him to leave town. Completely his decision, but he will lose a lot of respect and fans if he does.

It might have made sense for LeBron to leave before, but he has a championship team in CLE, no reason to leave.

a free agent can sign with the team who has his bird rights for any length of contract up to six years, for max money based on his years in the league, opt outs, options and such are all negotiable.

he can also sign with any team for up to 5 years, options and such negotiable for slightly less than the max the team that holds his bird rights can offer... the new team will not have his bird rights for 3 years btw

What a joke.

You are the biggest LeBron Dickrider on this site who includes his name in almost every one of your posts.

If he brought the city of Cleveland multiple championships I would not hate him for leaving.
