I've mostly used mine as an emulator since the games have thinned out. But theres been some crazy good ones out recently. Resistance: Retribution is what got me back into using mine. And coming soon are...
Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny
Rock Band: Unplugged (which will actually be playable, since they thankfully arent tacking on a toddler-sized button peripheral. I'm looking at YOU, guitar hero ds.)
Motor Storm: Arctic Edge
Final Fantasy Dissidia
Gran Turismo Mobile
Littler Big Planet
And those are just the exclusives
. Games like Madden and Tiger Woods could finally be perfected this year (you've had how many years to work with this system, EA??). Maybe they'll even put a little effort in NBA Live 10, which has felt like the same broken game since 06.. which is still somehow the best one on the system.
There's also lots of talk of a new PSP coming soon called PSP: Go! It supposedly will have a sliding controller and a bigger screen. People have been demanding two analog sticks since the original one launched, so hopefully they'll add that too. This is just an artist rendition of what it could look like:
Looks pretty damn cool to me. I'm sure they'll try to make it hack-proof too, though it would only be a matter of time.
But if the games are actually GOOD, then I dont mind spending the cash to support the system. The more profitable the PSP becomes, the more sweet games we'll get.
I <3 my PSP
