Talking Bulls preseason thread

The Bulls tip off the preseason on Wednesday, October 11 with a home opener against the Wizards at 7:30p.m. (CT) Then they head to Kansas University where they will verse the Seattle Sonics on October 15. This event will reunite two former Jayhawks which include Bulls gaurd Kirk Hinrich and Sonics forward Nick Collison. The rest of the schedule will include a pair of games against the Grizzlies and Wolves, plus one game with the Spurs and Raptors. This should be exciting because it will be the first time we'll see the Bulls play together with this current roster.

I thought Andres Nocioni and Luol Deng had the best performances overall in last nights game. As for the new additions to the team Ben Wallace had a solid debut which included 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and a block in 20 minutes. Viktor Khryapa had a nice game, 4 for 8 shooting, 10 points, and 6 rebounds. Also I can't forget Andre Barrett who nailed all his free throws in important situations, scored 7 points and most importantly made the game winning shot.

Andre Barrett wasn't even in the box score on Yahoo and I didn't even realize he got invited to camp. What's going on?

We would have won by more had Sweetney made his free throws late in the game, but a win is a win.

What's your reaction on the Bulls 110-105 win over the Sonics, for who ever watched the game? I think it was even more exciting than the first game. It almost seems like the more games these guys play together they play better. Two of the new additions to the team Viktor Khryapa and Tyrus Thomas should get the most credit for the win, both scoring 13 points and one in which Tyrus made a shot to take the team to over time.

The Sonics game was great, albeit funny to watch the Bulls scoreboard intro in Allen Fieldhouse.

I heard they won tonight.

Anyone want to see a pic of the new Matadors for this season?

The Bulls third preseason game against the Grizzlies wasn't on any local channels, but they won 87-78. The notables of the match were Tyrus Thomas 12 points, 4 blocks, 2 steals. P.J. Brown, who showed his best performance so far with the Bulls, 8 point, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Finally, the biggest surprise was 7'2" Center, Matynas Andriuskevicius. He was 5 for 5 from shooting and perfect from the free throw line, totaling 11 points. There were a couple of other players that played good, but these three I would say stood out the most. They have a tough opponent coming up on October 19, which will be the Spurs. Hopefully they bring their A game.

Don't forget about Khryapa. He didn't score much (2 pts), but had 6 rebounds and 8 assists in only 19 minutes. He has been distributing the ball like nobody's business so far, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get lots of minutes when the season starts.

Did anybody see the Bulls demolish the Spurs, 99-67? You can tell they're taking every game seriously even though it's preseason. This should hint us that they're going to win a lot of games this season.

I saw it and the Spurs starters only played a quarter. The last three quarters were played with scrubs. Take it seriously it you want!
