Default Did you know that 98% of LCD HDTVs are only Standard Def for Moving Images?

Watch this video first as it basically shows everything I've said VISUALLY.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMIPi9bx1GE

It's TRUE. Only Plasmas and CRTs are TRUE High Definition Televisions because Plasmas have microsecond response times and CRTs have nanosecond response times. Even the fastest LCDs have snail speed millisecond response times. That's why they have such bad motion blur.
They try 120 hz and even 240hz but that still doesn't make it high def and causes horrible interpolation artifacts and HORRIBLE soap opera effect.
The ONLY LCDs EVER made that are actually High Def for motion are LCDs that have Local Dimming LEDs. The Samsung 950 and Sony XBR8 are the only ones I know of that are actually High Def LCDs for Motion.
Here's a complete list.
Look at the MOTION RESOLUTION column. That's the MOST IMPORTANT one.

Most so called HD LCDs actually have less resolution than 50 year old CRTs with moving images. OLD Analog CRTs had 480 lines of motion resolution. Many HD LCDs only have 300

After I read this I was really happy I decided to get a Pioneer Elite Plasma instead of an LCD.

The funny part is if you put a LCD next to a Plasma you can barely tell the difference. Not that big of a deal to me. Hope your plasma doesn't burn out, that's the major problem with them.

I hate it when I want something in a microsecond, but it takes a millisecond to get there.

I can tell the difference between LCDs, CRTs and Plasmas easily.
Hell, my old CRTs always looked a lot better than my neighbors so called HD LCDs. LCDs are just the most inferior display tech there is. 80% of Americans used VCRs only as VCPs and didn't record anything. These people hated laserdisc player even though it had far better picture quality. The same people who prefered VHS over Betamax and Laserdisc are now buying LCDs.

Pull out Sonic the Hedgehog and play that on an LCD.
That's what they call BLURVISION.

That was YEARS ago. All plasmas now have Pixel Orbiters as well as different modes to fill the whole screen to make burnin nearly impossible to get.
Basically a person has to be a complete idiot to get burnin on a 2009 Plasma.
Basically turn off the pixel orbitter and leave a videogame on pause for 24 hours or something.

no, i prefer lcd times a million cuz you dont get that burnt out bulb shyt or the flares or whatever, no glare, and the screens are all flexible which gives me reassurance. also i cannot even tell the difference in picture and i play lots of games and watch lots of different movies (on both plasma and lcd cuz my dad has plasma and my mom lcd, they are divorced btw)

But LCDs have input lag so bad that you can't even tell if you're on the right chord on Guitar Hero because LCDs are always out of sync with the audio and with the guitar controller becuase of their HORRIBLE input lag and a very slow response time.

I've got two LCD's and a plasma, and I prefer my LCD's.

Refresh rates, as you seem to be saying have nothing to do with whether it is true HD or not.

Read the column that says "Motion Rez". 720 is the MINIMUM number needed for HD and 1080 is the number needed for FULL HD.
Static Rez is just for still images. (Motion Rez is for moving images).

LOL, this is like your Shaq hate, but for LCD's I don't get it. Or are you just one of those people who looks for faults with the opposition, which in this case is the LCD, seeing as you have a plasma.

How can you notice, the difference in a micro or millisecond? That's lag?
