They don't need pts from him. Just that 10-15 boards and solid defense is what the cheese was shelled out. Now 1 rebound per mil spent on average would be great I'm sure.

It's very posible that he will go back to averaging around 10 points a game like he did in Detroit two to three years ago. If he improves his free throw shooting form last year this can become a reality.

It's possible. But I rather him be the Dennis Rodman we sorely needed.

He got a huge cheer last night.

the only way i see that happening is if he either improves his free throws or he gets A LOT more plays run for him. and running a lot of plays for ben wallace is detremental to the team IMO.

I think it's possible, but I really doubt it will happen. We do a lot of running in the open court, and if he ever doesn't get the defensive rebound, he can get out there and get some oops from Kirk and Gordon. Just like everyone else said, we don't need him to score much at all. The bigger question is if he can grab 10 rebounds per game, which is definitely not out of the question.

I think it is easy for him to average 10 ppg. While he doesn't have that many back to the basket moves (okay zero) or a shot, he has much better hands and is a better finisher than Tyson Chandler. Skiles said he is goign to give him more freedom on the offensive end.

It has been proven when BW is involved on the offensive end, he is a better rebounder and defender. Look at his seasons with Larry Brown vs his seasons with Flip Saunders.

he was a better rebounder and defender back then because the rules hadn't limited physicality much. plus he was still near his peak.

Default re:

Ben Wallace won't average 12+ rpg.
