Default 2009-2010 season prediction

How good do you think the Rockets will be next year?
With Yao gone the whole year
T-Mac gone half the year
Ron Artest going to the lakers
And I dont think we have enough cap room to sign anyone for anything more than MLE ( not sure on this though)

On Espn I see the 2 FAs we are chasing are Gortat and Ariza.

What do you think the Rockets record will be, what seed, how far do they get in playoffs (if they get in the playoffs), and do you think they are going to try to win ASAP or do you think they will start rebuilding and trade for young talent/expirers?

I think we will start rebuilding so we probably wont have a great record but a lot of teams on the West I think have a possibilty of dropping out of the playoffs (Dallas, NO, Utah) so I think the Rockets can get the #7 or 8 seed and probably a first round exit.

What do you guys think?

k so now we agreed to deal with Ariza so starting lineup will probably be

Brooks
Ariza
Battier
Scola
Hayes, Dorsey, or Landry but Im not sure exactly who they plan to use as the Center...

If the Rockets can somehow trade T-Mac's expirer for Amare that would be great cause Amare is better than having a center shorter than your shooting guard.

With my man Ariza joinin the rockets this should be a rebuilding project.

Yao should be traded...

Brooks, Ariza, Scola are the building blocks.
Battier should come off the bench...a backup should be landry or hayes..
What the rockets need is a SG...and to me the simple yet dangerous solution is AI.

Now that the MLE is given to Ariza , the only way to get AI is sign and trade...
another player the rockets should pursue is Dalembert or Dampier or Chandler..

defensive center , with a finesse scola, get oberto to play backup center...and either hayes or landry as backup PF..

battier backs up Ariza...lowry backs up brooks and the SG position needs to be filled out...

Teams that have an abundance of SG is the warriors...or knicks...

Yao ming for David Lee, Nate Robinson and Wilson chandler...

I think the knicks will go for that...
