Default Thomas proving to be not that raw

Thomas should be able to come in as a legitamate back up power forward really soon, if not now. He hasn't played much, but is transitioning nicely into the Bulls system. In his second preseason game he made many drives to the basket and connected on several three point plays. He's an athletic dunker, but also showed off his exceptional mid-range shot. So Bulls fans expect T-Time to get more playing time as he develops, he already had a great start as a rookie in his second game which included 13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 assists and 2 blocks. This guy may very well become an allstar in the near future.

He's going to be a really good pick IMO. I quickly became a fan of his when I saw him play in the NCAA tournament. He's already shown some signs.

Thats a great sign, hopefully he keeps his form and keeps getting better. Do you think he is any chance if he puts up these numbers to get the starting PF job as the season goes on? I know its only early but is it possible

Like you said it's early to say, but if P.J. Brown doesn't perform as well as expected of him be sure to see Tyrus Thomas take his place. He's a young athletic player who would know his responsibility on the court. There is no dought in my mind that if he averages double-doubles almost every night along with a couple blocks he will see a lot of playing time. I think Thomas can be one of the surprise rookies that not everyone thought would contribute right away. His upside is tremendous and he's only getting better the more he plays. Imagine how he will play in two to three years. He's already showing how good he can play with so little experience.

P.S. In his third game he was 4-5 FG with 12 points 4 blocks and 2 steals.
