Default Ben Wallace Weak In Preseason

Ben Wallace Preseason Stats
6 ppg/7.6 rpg/.67 bpg/ 1.33 spg/ .167 FT%

Jason Maxiel Preseason Stats
14.3 ppg/ 5.8 rpg/ 2 bpg/ .75 spg/ .586 FT%

Nazr Mohammed Preseasn Stats
11.7 ppg/ 5 rpg/ 1.33 bpg/ 1.67 spg / .583 FT%

"This is my year...Ben left the door open and I am trying to run through it"
-Jason Maxiel 10-16-06

I know the preseason isn't that important for most players, but for teams with radically different lineups its a time to test the roles and team chemistry. for ben wallace, nazr mohammed, and jason maxiel this is no regular preseason.

P.S: Ben Wallace averaged 11.7 rpg and 2.2 bpg in the preseason last year.

sorry guys. i should have posted this in the pistons forum but nobody ever goes there.

goillcity our best players obviously arent getting the touches they normally would. ben wallace is. and the plain fact is jason maxiel and nazr mohammed are perfoming better than ben in the preseason. is that an indicatior of how next season will go? you decide.

personally I beleive the chicago press is just puting a positive spin on ben coming out with these articles about how "ben's stats aren't important". as the year goes on they will start to question the signing more and more.

and yes, adding the biggest free agent signing in the history of the bulls constitutes a big roster change. at least I would hope.

are you saying you dont consider ben a part of your core?

your a goon your stars are getting more touches than ben
they have around the same points per and you think thats good aren't you the one who said ben can't put the ball in the hoop?
if your cheesy pre-season thread means anything it would be that ben will average about the same as your stars
your dumb ass said that ben was getting more touches then your stars
you were wrong
why are their averages so close?
this is pre season
you should have started this in the pistons board
you know why noone goes to the weak pistons board?
it's becouse detroit sucks, i'm not talking about the team i'm talking about the city. who in their right mind would want to live in detroit
and if you don't live there why the hell would you be a fan of the team that makes no sense

People are getting pretty tired of you final wrath continuously bagging the Bulls and Ben. Dude its the preseason, only the rookies and guys after roster spots take it 100% serious. 32 year olds earning 15Mil tend to save themselves for the real stuff that starts in a few weeks...

It really seems that you just keep writing this stuff about him so often, cos your so disappointed that he left your pistons. How many times do you have to keep telling us that you think he is old, overpaid and a liability?

Just wait for the real games to start before you go criticising him.

i never said ben was getting MORE touches than our stars. I said he was getting his normal amount. Then I said our stars are getting LESS than their normal amount. obviously 6 ppg isnt proving me wrong that he cant put the ball in the hoop.

but you're right this is only preseason. the only reason i think you have to be concerned is that he took last year's preseason more seriously than this one. and this year hes on a new team with more pressure.

and honestly, this thread was meant to be more about the pistons than ben wallace. i guess i just wanted to show off what jason maxiel can do. yeah i have a chip on my shoulder for ben. of course i do. the guy was a major part of our team for 6 years and now hes gone. so whenever I get the chance to show how well we're doing without him, I'm gunna rub it in your face. Deal with it.

You guys should be thanking me. Because one of two things can happen next season:
A) Ben Wallace thrives in his role and you can say "i told you so final.wrath"
B) Ben Wallace is only mediocre and when people begin to question the signing, you can thank me for preparing you for the disappointment.

Its a win-win situation for you guys. You're welcome.

They're still dumb for signing him to that much money? Who's going to take him later on in a trade? He's not worth that much...good job chicago!

Lol, that's funny because the title of this thread is "Ben Wallace weak in preseason". I don't know, but I get the impression that this is about wallace and you are trying to throw stuff in our face as usual.

And as others have said before, this is the preseason. Stats don't mean much now. We know what ben can do. Besides, ben has had far fewer minutes than Nazr. Of course if ben was out on the floor longer, he would have gotten more rebounds etc. Man, just give it a rest.
