Default One Final Move?

Do the Pacers have one final move left in the off season? It seems a little pointless to keep 4 point guards on this team since the signing of A.J Price. My thoughts would be, if there is a move why not move Diener? He's a fan favorite, yes, but it is simply isn't practical to keep him. Maybe we could move him to someone like NJ and pick up Jarvis Hayes to sure up our SF position which would be lacking depending on Dunleavy's injury.

Thoughts? If you were to trade Diener, who would trade him to and for what? Or do you keep the roster the way it is, with 4 point guards?

we still have an open spot so i'd look for them to add then subtract or trade.

other than dunleavy, our only other 2 guard w/ good size is d-jones. o'brien liked to play small ball quite a bit last season w/ jack and tj in the guard spots so i'd look for that this season as well.

Bird and O'Brien have both said they'd like to keep the 15th roster spot empty to potentially help necessitate a trade during the season. I assume it's to save money as well, that's just me though, no one with the team's said that.

I remember at a sort of end of season address Bird said we may see up to 5 new faces, and that's what we've got. I'd like to see Diener moved for better wing depth, maybe a 3/4 combo type guy, but I don't know of anyone we could get, I doubt we get many calls about what we want for Diener. I imagine this is going to be the opening day roster, but at the dealine, who knows?

I would also assume the Pacers roster as it stands right now will probably be the roster they open the season with. Who knows though, maybe something significant could happen during training camp and/or preseason that could change the current makeup of the roster. Man, training camp already opens in a few weeks, and the Colts kickoff the season this Sunday. The dog days of summer are gone!
