I'm currently watching Maccabi Tel Aviv vs. Union Olimpija.

So far Maccabi Tel Aviv is up by 12, it's early in the fourth quarter.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is now up by 20 with less than 3 minutes to go in the game. They got this one wrapped up.

Fenerbahce Ulker vs. Regal FC Barcelona

It will be on NBA TV for U.S. viewers on Saturday Oct 24 at 1 PM.

(It is a tape delay, but we don't get too many chances to watch Euroleague in the U.S.)

I actually found a broadcast online and I agree it is a shame there are so few people there. The game is so close too!

What a great game.

CSKA Moscow wins with a 3 point shot with 1.4 seconds to go!

i saw the barca game ,they totally anhilated fenerbahce. Not as much as siena destroyed cibona though. In Turkey it was the same, loads o fempty seats.Greeks and Turks have a reputation for passionate fans, but all I saw in the maroussi game against cska and fener against barca was empty seats.

Maroussi had 1,650 attendance at the CSKA game:

http://www.euroleague.net/main/resul...asetypecode=RS

You guys are exaggerating. You have to understand that at OAKA arena the cameras do not show where the fans are. They are set to only show the one side of the arena.

The ticket sales are all on the opposite side of the arena.

Here is what you don't see because of the camera angle.

But the cameras are fixed and only at one spot so all you see on TV is this:

Almost all of the tickets are sold for the side that you cannot see on TV. Also, they play in an arena that is about double the size of even the typical "big" Euroleague arena. So people seem to be unable to grasp that say 2,000 fans in a 20,000 arena might look like "200 fans" but that's not reality. Apparently this has created some kind of myth that Maroussi never has anyone attend a basketball game.

But the reality is they had higher attendance than both Fenerbache (1,000) and Milano (1,500) did. I guess Maroussi is going to have to only sell tickets to the side where the cameras are before this myth that they only draw 200 to games gets out of control and gets them booted from Euroleague.

And BTW, Maroussi said they sold 1,700 season tickets. It's actually pretty good for a club that only came to the Greek A1 League in 1998 and has to play in the SAME CITY as Olympiacos and Panathinaikos.
