I know it's only a pre season but look out for this cat. This dude's got game.
Seriously, I followed him at college and he's a pretty good player.
Look out folks, Big Ben is not a Piston anymore but they still have a great team.
4 great starters, 1 solid starter and a solid bench. Still a great team although different than before.
he's a bit undersized though, but kenny thomas and ben wallace have found success w/ being small. well...at least big ben has anyway. (thomas was good back on the rockets) anyway, i read where this maxiell guy was coming along in his game. i've never seen him play though, but that will probably change.

Kenny Thomas is still good. I don't think I would want him as my starting PF, but I would certianly take him as my backup PF.
Four "great" starters? What classifies a starter as "great?" There are 30 starters at each position. Where must one rank to be considered a "great" starter?
The Pistons don't have four "great" starters unless the standard is lowered considerably.
They have 2 great starters looking at the numbers with Billups and RIP. Top 5-10 for their respective position. Lot of people would consider 'Sheed great, and Tay is really good. Not hard to argue for 3 great and one very good starter.

I'd put their four 'great' starters in at least the 50th percentile in terms of the leagues starters.
PGs i'd rather have - Nash, Kidd, Paul, Arenas, Iverson
SGs - Allen, Wade, J-Rich, Kobe, Joe Johnson
SFs - Lebron, T-Mac, AK47, Melo, Marion
PFs - Amare, KG, Duncan, Dirk, Brand, Pao, Bosh, Howard
so overall it averages out to be about the 80th percentile

considering the consistent improvement of Tayshaun Prince, i think this is gonna be the year where he moves up into a higher echelon of importance, taking the team on his back as a 20/6/4/2 kind of player
He's a bit undersized at 6-6ish but he has a wingspan of over 7ft. He's athletic, quick and he's in constant attack mode. He's a beast. Tries to dunk anything around the basket and is always looking to score. I think he'll be good but I wonder how many minutes he'll get with Sheed,Dice and Nazr playing heavy minutes. I think Nazr is going to have a pretty decent season.
detroit loves maxiell and for good fu(king reason.
cat has that blue-collar Dtroi8t style and personality, but his free-throw woes worry the hellll out of me.
ben was different because he wasn't really a part of the offense. but with what flip wants to do, maxiell won't be able to play in crunchtime unless he can hit a fu(king freethrow or two when in fu(king matters.
