LA Hoopz (I don't know why they use the "z") is starting it's second season November 15th and they're still looking for teams and players. You can sign up as a complete team or as an individual "free agent" --last season there were two full teams of free agents and both teams were decent so don't hesitate to go this route, if you just have one or several friends who want to play but can't put together a whole squad you can indicate that you want to play with each other when you register. All the games are Sunday at 4, 5, or 6 PM (PST obviously) at the Venice Boys and Girls Club. There are refs (NO REF FEES either, it's all included with registration price), jerseys (included with registration price), stats are kept, in-game and post-game video and other media are available on the web site (
www.lahoopz.com) after the games. It's a bad ass league and you should sign up. The web site is
www.lahoopz.com and you'll see a little sign up tab on the right. It's paypal to register so it's secure, if you don't have paypal there are other ways to pay.

the league is competitive but not out of control, there are players 18-35, some are former D-1 players, some are over weight pick up players. There is a spot for everyone. It's a great time, come out and join us.
