Default Teams I follow - Analysis

Lakers -

Low post kobe is doing a number on everyone who guards him. 32ppg on .500 shooting...impressive,
The reason the lakers are winning is Ron artest the difference defensively...thus far every player who he has matched up with he has held them to an average of just 12 points on 6-24 shooting.
Bynum needs to get more rebounds...Lamar needs to step up offensively and the bench needs to come alive a bit more.

Cavs -

Lebron does not have a free path to the rim no more...but has improved from the perimeter...his FT is still suspect. feels like he plays passive sometimes. but the cavs are emerging from two great road wins in orlando and miami. Top 2 team in the east. I still think they need to rid themselves of flopper, Hickson is doing just fine, and powe will fill in nicely as a backup.

Flopper for S-jax...cmon cavs...dont think twice...get rid of that awful contract.

Miami -

Dwade has not had to win alot of games himself...which is great...his supporting cast is doing just fine...it helps that its a contract year. but dwade plays big when he needs to and it would be great if he could win the MVP this year.

Wade needs a reliable SF...q-rich is in shape but still not consistent...0 points? cmon S-jax would do better...cmon miami...improve without giving up talent. GS wants expiring contract...and you guys want talent...do the deal...

dont wait for 2010...if you can improve for cheap under the luxury tax they should look into it...but i have a feeling this is a season long team.

Denver -

Cooled down after a hot start...Melo is playing in spurts...would like to see him dominate start to finish...taking over at the end of games. Big shot got owned by rookie jennings...absolutely stunning display of skills...and No jennings is not a poor mans AI...cmon this dude can score and assist...he's a beast. HOF material if he can keep it up.

Knicks -

Hometown team...well living in NY for the past 3 years...business transfer from London. Milf city as i call it. my mates go for games to check how many points another team can hang on the knicks and these are die hard knick fans...they have given up on 2009 and await for that lottery they did not win in 2003. as i have told them...if a dude wants to win...he's not gonna come to a team that can only win 20 games...anyway atleast the yankees won so it makes life worth living i guess for NY'ers.

Game of the night...for me. its the Warriors@Knicks

The current league wide joke against the past joke...this is a game of mockery swagger.

Melo will be back to beasting when we play some home games..

His FG% seems bad, but that only cuz we are playing on the road and don't get the whistles the home team usually get...

If melo is fouled and the ref call it = no missed FGA
If melo is fouled and the ref don't call it = missed FGA

What Ron Artest is doing for this Lakers team is seriously underrated.

Agreed. Artest is going to humble Melo tomorrow. Just watch, Melo will score less than 30 points.

I prefer not to jinx it...melo is a beast offensively...30 points on tough shots is what i will take. He's a superstar...not Kevin Durant who is still budding.

Damn, less than 30 points? Artest is the best defender of all the times.

OP's analysis of Cleveland is wrong on so many levels...

Bron has been driving and dunking just as much, this "shaq clogging the lanes" is just complete f*cking fiction. Anybody that knows Bball will tell you. It's not like he clogged the lane for Kobe and Wade. Shaq is the reason cavs beat orlando, and is contributing every night. Andy V. is still the team's best PF and his contract of around 7 mil a year is pretty avg for a guy of his talent level.

Do you think the Cavaliers can contend for a championship this year? They have done nothing to change my mind about them, a great regular season team that will falter in the playoffs.

Yes they can.

Their first game of the season they almost beat the celtics, Im sure with the improved chemistry and flow they can beat them now, or at least be more to handle than they were before with the emergence of hickson, west, and powe.

They already dismantled the magic, and took care of the heat decisively. I think the lakers are a tougher match up for the cavs than the c's, But with shaq the cavs are better equipped to deal with the likes of odom and bynum.

Don't forget, cavs only lost Sasha P, Ben Wallace, and Wally, its not like they sacrificed any of their core last year.

Good post. Even though the celtics were coming off a great preseason run and the cavs weren't at their best, their first home-loss of the season was a damn close game.

Ok first of all since you watch the game do you know shaq is averaging 24mpg?
in 24mpg he and lebron are actually +1 on the floor this does not count for the miami game. Before that both players on the floor was -8.

Shaq on the floor Lebron averaged 6ppg - driving, dunking, or anthing from 10 feet. So 22ppg lebron is averaging in 12 mins .....theres about 2 mins a game on average that either shaq is on the floor without lebron or lebron without shaq.

Onto andy...yes 7 mill is not bad..but who else can the cavs trade to upgrade? if they need to?

The league is barren for good centers. Cavs need a center of the future. Shaq + Z will have a combined 31+ million coming of the books this summer. Free agency could be interesting if the cavs make a decent playoff run and Bron commits to an extension. If those two things happen, i can see a big name wanting to join Lebron. Or cavs can trade one at the deadline. I do not think cavs are going to make a big move at the deadline though. I think this current squad is decent.

Decent is not what you guys want...if lebron wants to win a title. If the cavs can get to the finals yes he will stay...but anything short of that...the offseason will need to be ...infused depth ...I just hope it works out for u guys...

i am not one who wants to see lebron in NY, Miami or LA...he is from ohio...and he is the only thing that is keeping cleveland relevant.
