But he already is shooting around an inefficient 40% for the season like previous years and chucking the ball. He's been back for a while.

In 05-06, Arenas averaged 29ppg on 45% from the field and 37% 3-point.

I like Arenas and I hope that he gets back to form but I don't think he will ever be as good as he was pre-injury. He hasn't played bad this season but the thing is he has lost what made him so great: his clutchness. He has missed free throws and shots down the stretch a bunch of times this year and has cost the Wizards multiple games. I don't know if it is the lagging mental effects of his injury or what but he has been really really bad at the end of games.

Also, why are the Wizards so damned bad this year? They are much better on paper and they should be above .500

His concentration and focus has waned incredibly this year, it's been rather ridiculous at times.

They just haven't been able to mesh into anything resembling a cohesive unit yet. They've also lost 6 of their last 7 games by 4 points or less (I'm not sure if that's a league record, it's certainly a team record). They could easily be 14-10 right now (or anywhere in between that and 8-16, but good teams pull out games like that, so, you know).
