Default Would anyone be surprised if the Saints lost their first playoff game?

The combined record for the Saints' opponents is 68-101. They are #1 in points scored, but are #18 in point against. The Saints remind me of the 2003 Chiefs. The Chiefs that year were also #1 in points scored, but were #19 in points against. They finished 13-3, had a first round BYE, but lost to the Colts in the AFC Divisional game.

The Saints did beat the Patriots, but are they capable of beating Minnesota, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, or New England again?

Well NE again would imply they both get to the superbowl but it really depends on who they are matched up against. If they lose it won't be because they felt the pressure of being undefeated.

I wouldn't be surprised. The Vikings could beat them. If the Eagles are playing like they are right now in the playoffs, they could beat them. Giants probably don't have a chance. Arizona and Green Bay are also capable of giving them a tough game. But with New Orleans having home field, it will be absolute hell for any team to go in there and win.

I don't think the win streak will play a role. I just think they're benefitting from playing weak teams. Opposing teams have a combined 68-101(.402) record. The Saints are not a good defensive team. I just think they are in the same boat as the 2003 Chiefs.

Unlike the Chiefs though the saints D has stepped up a few times. I can't say they are definitely going to win or lose their first game but I do expect them to play extremely well.

I think they'll lose, regardless of who they play.

I certainly wouldn't be suprised. As people have said, if they face the Vikes, Cards even if it's at home, they will get tested big time. This team is also probably a little unfamiliar with what it's like to play in the playoffs.
