Default Vertical jump bible journal

So I am currently doing the vertical jump bible bodyweight program and thought it would be a good idea to post a journal here to keep me motivated and show everyone my gains.

Here are my Beginning stats:
Age:13
Height:1m73(5'8)
Weight:63kgs(115 lbs)
Standing vertical: about 20 inches
Running vertical: about 22 inches
Goal: Touch rim by 2011

Good job wanting to put in the work to increase your vertical. My first advice is to be consistent. If you are, then you'll definitely gain.
My second piece of advice is to just concentrate of hitting the weights. You're only 13, so some people will argue that you shouldnt, but I disagree. You need the raw horsepower(which kelly baggett talks about a lot) in order to get your body into the air. If I were training you, I'd have you just concentrate on getting stronger. Bodyweight exercises will help you for a little bit, and the jumping will help you too, but if you gain more raw horsepower(add strength/upping your relative strength) the jumping will help you out even more.

It'll be very hard without weight training. Try and get a cheap rack/bar/some weights off of craigslist.

Good luck though, don't overdo it... or else you'll want to quit when you don't see results right away. Slow and steady man (your body needs time to repair anyways, don't feel like you're being lazy).

Yep I'm just following the program nothing extra and even though it's killing me there's no way I'm stopping.

Do you have heavy bags or a car you could push? Getting stronger is all about giving your body stimulus. You can do that by doing a lot of things, you don't have to necessarily just hit the weights, even though its the most practical. If you can get creative, you could still get a lot stronger.

your goal is to touch rim in a whole year?
you only need to add like 7 or 8 inches to your vert.

But you should pay for it if you have the money, and you shouldn't necessarily do the same program as me depending on your needs(The ebook will help you find which program you should do) and you should read the whole thing once before starting.

I doubt I'll gain more doing that than the bodyweight program.

Yea it's best to set goals that you feel are realistic... if you reach it in 6 months you will be pumped as heck and ready to take it to the next level.
