First off, I have a PS3. I'm sick of 2K10. It's probably one of the worst basketball games I've played in a while. And today, I thought I'd simulate an entire season to see what the results are, and it was very disappointing.
I got a million trade offers. Here are a few that I can remember;
Kevin Martin/Andres Nocioni for Ray Allen
Sam Young/Marcus Williams for Rasheed
Steve Nash/Grant Hill for Ray Allen
One that I can't remember specifically, but was outrageous, was two starting bigs (not great bigs, but they were both starters) for Big Baby.
I mean, wth? I didn't accept any trades just b/c I wanted to sim an entire season with actual rosters.
Then, the playoffs were ridiculous. The Lakers didn't even make it, they finished near the bottom of the league (with no injuries). The NETS, the friggin NETS, were number 1 in the East. The Bobcats were number 4. And the Spurs didn't lose a game in the entire playoffs, and won the Title.
The game itself has numerous flaws, but I figured at least maybe I could play by being a GM and making moves and roster moves and training/practice sessions, etc. But when the NETS of this year are the number 1 overall seed, then wtf?
Anyone else think this is one of the worse games ever?
I know this isn't the Video Games forum, but that place is always dead minus one thread.
the reason it's dead is because everyone assumes it's dead and doesnt post in it
also known as dooms syndrome
Not true. I've posted in there a couple times this past week with no replies. And I've started two threads in there over the last couple months with no replies either. This isn't the point of my post pete. Come on man. Lots of other people post video game stuff in here. Give me a break.
Anyone else had ridiculous outcomes in association mode?
I uninstalled it after one day. It's still in my Steam though, I was thinking of playing it again the other day. I just wasn't feeling it, I dunno why. Now I'm playing Dirt 2, Micro Machines, Crayon Physics, and Mass Effect 2.
Its not even fun to play. It seems like they put all the work into the analog dribbling and it BLOWS. Then the rest of the work they put in went into animations/graphics....and while it's good, its not worth sacrificing gameplay. Should've went with Live. Oh well, it'll be Live next year.
I was just dumbfounded when it simulated the entire season and the NETS were the best team in the NBA. Even their roster on the game is the lowest rated. Makes zero sense.
I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only one who feels like this. Its so frustrating not even being able to have full control over where you run/dribble. And even once you sorta get the hang of it (like i did when i played it a couple times every day right after it came out), it was just totally unrealistic shooting percentages and incredibly low rebound numbers. Definitely an awful game.
They better never try that analog dribbling stick ever again.
I'm not tired of it, though i'm getting pissed off. I'm in the playoffs against the Blazers and Gasol and Stoudemire are shooting under 50%, most of the shots they miss are layups and the blazers make everything... that's what grinds my gears
