Default Your favorite team's predictions - PRE draft

I'm extremely bored right now. So lets have a little fun and see what everyone thinks of their own favorite team(s), pre-draft.

If you were forced to predict your favorite teams' record right now, before the draft, before FA is over, before training camp, etc.....what would you say? Take into consideration your team's opponents for the upcoming season, and if you're team has made any big FA acquisitions, or any other reasons.

I know this is EXTREMELY early, but lets hear it. We can also do a thread just like this in 3 1/2 weeks after the draft is over. But lets see what we got right now. Post your favorite team, last year's record, and predict a win total. And if you want, a reason why you think that. I'll start.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Last yr: 3-13
Pre-draft predicion: 6-10

I'm saying 6 wins b/c last year, we went 3-6 with Freeman as starter. Now that he'll have a full offseason under his belt as "the man" and now that the Bucs will have one offensive system in place, the offense should be better. We've also addressed a big hole in the secondary and we signed S Sean Jones to replace Sabby Piscitelli.

Also last year we had the 2nd toughest schedule when all was said and done (behind the Dolphins). This coming season, we have HOME games vs the Rams, Lions and Browns, so that's most likely 3 wins at least. And I'm sure we'll get a few more the rest of the year. AFTER draft, depending on how well the Bucs draft, I think we could win more, but we'll see how the draft unfolds.

49ers 10-6, 9-7

They are ready to make the final step to a postseason team. They finished 8-8 this season but lost some close games and could of made the postseason. Alex Smith gets a shot to be the day 1 starter and could finally prove to people he ain't no bust and will come to his own. 49ers haven't made any splashes this offseason and the biggest signing was CB Kelly Palymah, Chester Pitts might sign as well. But they have 2 1st round picks in a deep draft and will probably address OT/CB with the picks(Haden + Williams in the mock draft). 49ers biggest concerns last season was Offensive Line, a return man, and secondary help. If they address those needs we'll take the division.

Yeah, depending on what the Cardinals do at QB, I could see the Niners taking that division.

Miami 9-7
Wildcard

Ronnie Brown is back. Henne is going to develop more. We'll get a couple receivers. We got Dansby, maybe a safety like Ken Hamlin or Darren Sharper. Get more help in the draft with a high draft pick.

WATCH OUT!!!

Cincinnati: 9-7

Much harder schedule, and they won't go 6-0 vs. the AFC North again, but I think Palmer will have a better year, as he will have more target to throw to (Bryant, plus a draft pick, should they choose to go in that direction.)

Benson should have another excellent year on the ground.

The defense got incredibly banged up last year, and still posted solid numbers. Rey Maualuga will continue to improve, I think Keith Rivers will step it up, and Dhani Jones is a solid veteran. Love that linebacking core, and Leon Hall/Johnathan Joseph are excellent at the CB spot.

Defensive backfield as a whole did a good job of guarding the deep ball, but gave up a lot of yardage underneath. Once Roy Williams went down, there were really no hard hitters there to discourage the defense from throwing those short passes. Tight ends just KILLED us last year.

The D-line could use a few more bodies, and another pass rusher, though. Not bad, but losing Odom hurt a bit.

Dallas' schedule is VERY easy for a 1st placed schedule. Doesn't even look like a 1st placed sked. Tampa Bay's 3rd place schedule from LAST season was much harder than this lol.

But you're dreamin prime lol. No way do ya'll go 15-1, and 6-0 in divisional games. Maybe 5-1, but not 6-0. And ya'll will lose at least two games to two of the following: Indy, Houston, Minn, GB, Tenn, NO

I could easily see 13-3 though, and a serious run at the first ever homefield advantage in the SB. (it pains me to say that)

Chargers

Last season's record: 13-3

My prediction for next season? 12-4 (With a chance of winning 1-2 more games depending on the draft)

If they can address the holes at RB, NT and CB in the draft, I say they have a good shot at repeating last years record, maybe one better.
