Default Updated depth charts for your team/Draft recap

Post your draftees and offseason signings and where they will play. Post a depth chart if possible as well

Niners draft:
OT- Anthony Davis
OG- Mike Iupati
S- Taylor Mays
LB- Novarro Bowman
RB- Anthony Dixon
TE- Nate Byham
RB- Blount(rookie FA)
Rest doesn't matter..

Niners adressed their biggest need in the draft in the offensive line. I am 90% sure both of them will start right away. Davis RT, Iupati LG. Taylor Mays will probably be a starter at SS at one point during the season.

QB-Alex Smith/David Carr/ Nate Davis
RB- Gore/ Coffee/ Dixon/Blount
FB-Norris
WR-Crabtree/Morgan/Ginn Jr./Brandon Jones/Hill
TE- Davis/Walker/Byham
LT-Staley/Simms
LG-Iupati/Rachal
C-Heitman/Wallace
RG-Bass/Rachal
RT-Davis/Snyder

LE-Sopporaga/McDonald
NT-Franklin
RE-Justin Smith/Balmer
OLB-Lawson/Haralson/Brooks
MLB-Willis/Spikes/McKillop/Bowman
CB-Clements/Spencer/Brown/Palymah
FS-Goldson/Smith
SS-Mays/Lewis

Return man- Ginn JR

red=Draft
green= signing/trade

We got around 4 new starters with some rotational guys. I like what we did so far a nice and quiet off season. We need some depth at CB and a NT possibly. Our o-line was probably the worst in the league last season and we now have a young o-line. Taylor Mays can be possibly be the next Roy Williams which I have mixed feelings for.

Buccaneers Draft Picks:
DT Gerald McCoy
DT Brian Price
WR Arrelious Benn
CB Myron Lewis
WR Mike Williams
P Brent Bowden
S Cody Grimm
LB Dekoda Watson
DE Erik Lorig

Bucs addressed their two biggest needs....with 4 players. They sured up their DL by taking two of the top DTs in the draft. Price was a mid-first round pick by many, but Tampa got him in the 2nd. A McCoy, Price & Roy Miller DT rotation is solid. They also drafted Arrelious Benn and Mike Williams to address the WR position. Both WRs have through the ceiling potential, especially Williams. If Williams stays straight off the field (I think his off the field problems are overrated anyways, especially since he had no run ins with the law), he'll be a Pro Bowler. Drafted a huge CB to replace Ronde Barber eventually and book end with Aqib Talib.

Current Depth Chart:
QB: Josh Freeman, Josh Johnson, Jevan Snead (undrafted rookie FA)
RB: Cadillac Williams, Derrick Ward, Earnest Graham
FB: BJ Askew, Earnest Graham
WR: Arrelious Benn, Mike Williams, Sammie Stroughter, Reggie Brown, Maurice Stovall, Michael Clayton (hope he's cut)
TE: Kellen Winslow, Jerramy Stevens, John Gilmore
OT: Donald Penn, Jeremy Trueblood, Xavier Fulton
OG: Davin Joseph, Arron Sears, Jeremy Zuttah
C: Jeff Faine

DE: Stylez G. White, Maurice Evans
DT: Gerald McCoy, Chris Hovan
DT: Brian Price, Roy Miller, Ryan Sims
DE: Kyle Moore, Tim Crowder
OLB: Geno Hayes, Adam Hayward
MLB: Barrett Ruud, Jon Alston, Niko Koutouvides
OLB: Quincy Black, Dekoda Watson
CB: Aqib Talib, Elbert Mack
CB: Ronde Barber, Myron Lewis
FS: Tanard Jackson, Cody Grimm
SS: Sean Jones, Sabby Piscitelli, Corey Lynch

KR/PR: Clifton Smith, Sammie Stroughter
K: ?????
P: Brent Bowden

But by no means is this even close to the final roster. I'm sure they'll get a veteran backup QB, maybe add a DE once teams make some roster cuts, maybe another WR, some OL depth, and maybe another RB.

Eagles got Riley Cooper in the draft? What round? I don't remember that. He could be a sleeper pick, but too bad he'll be buried in the Eagles' WR depth chart.

Bucs have improved significantly this offseason just by glancing at your updated depth chart. Drastic improvements all over the board.

I'll do the Browns when I get a minute.

he was a 4th or 5th rounder. He's a nice tall threat to pair with the speedy receivers they got. He's also a pretty good baseball player as well.

For the Bucs they need a veteran WR. You can't go into the season with rookies starting, just won't work. Mike Williams is a nice player though, he's a stud. Looks like the Bucs need some serious help at DE, they should of picked up Griffin or Sapp in the later rounds imo. Bucs got better but still have a young team and will struggle offensively.

He could work his way into 4th on the depth chart. Jackson/Maclin/Avant and then a battle for the 4th. There really isn't anyone there that has that job.

There's a big reason why Everson Griffen fell from the 1st round to the 5th round. There's a reason why, and lots of reports say he's lazy, has a bad work ethic and is hard to motivate. No thanks to a player like that. Minnesota was a great place for him though.

And like I said, we will pick up a veteran WR before the season starts. We'll be fine at DE. Just b/c those guys aren't household names doesn't mean they SUCK. Stylez G White is a solid DE and Kyle Moore showed promise last year as a rookie after coming back from injury. When you have 3 stud DTs, that allows the DEs to go one on one. And last year, it was our DEs who were getting double-teamed b/c Hovan and Sims are garbage DTs.

I'm sure we'll pick up a vet WR and a vet DE. But we're fine at DE. For now.

One of the reasons we sucked so bad on offense last year was b/c we fired our offensive coordinator 10 days before the regular season. The offense was learning an entire new playbook ON THE RUN. They were constantly having to study the playbook and run new plays during practice during the season instead of training camp. With a few games under Freeman's belt from last year, and with us knowing the playbook already, that alone will improve the offense. Add in two possible stud WRs, and it'll help.

Not saying we'll have a prolific offense, but we will be much improved from last year (even though thats not saying much lol).
