The Jaguars will release DT John Henderson on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Changes are afoot in Jacksonville. The team will also withdraw its restricted free agent tender to LB Clint Ingram, making him an unrestricted free agent. Henderson was replaced by surprise top-ten pick Tyson Alualu, while Ingram was displaced by Kirk Morrison. Henderson will get a job shortly. The 31-year-old is no longer a big sack threat, but remains an effective run defender.
Both players weren't needed anymore with additions of Alualu and Brandon Spikes. Curious as to what other big names could be released. Do the Bills carry Spiller, Fred Jackson, and Marshawn Lynch? Could Osi Umenyiora finally be gone with JPP added? Free agency getting a bit of a second wind.
Wow. Buccaneers release defensive tackle Chris Hovan and guard Arron Sears. Also let go were fullback B.J. Askew, guard Shawn Murphy, punter Sam Paulescu and cornerback Stoney Woodson.
Letting go of Hovan and Sears is a big blow. Hovan, while wasn't great, was the only veteran presence left in the lockerroom and he wouldve been smart to keep around during McCoy and Price's rookie struggles.
Arron Sears was a beast on the OL his rookie season, but had some "personal issues" (mental illness, maybe depression plus something else reportedly) that kept him from playing a down last season. He is likely to retire. very sad for him. He was a stud his rookie year and is now out of football. Hope he goes on and is able to live a happy life.
Also expected to be traded/cut from the Bucs are DT Ryan Sims and WR Michael Clayton.
I hate homers sometimes. Listening to Boston radio all day, everyone and even the DJ's were slamming Bill for signing Thomas, citing it as his second biggest mistake as a GM [behind trading up for Chad Jackson, now that was terrible]. But ask any Patriot fan in 2007 and we'd rattle off how Thomas is gonna be our guy and he's gonna take over and he's this and he's that and he'll be incredible and blah blah blah. We were all excited about. Flash forward two years, he doesn't work out, ends up being a bad signing, and we slam Bill for it, yet two years ago we praise him? Hypocritical much? Can't admit we all thought the same thing?
We put Bill up on a pedestal for being a genius, but destroy him when he makes a mistake like he's some sort of God who never does wrong. F*cking makes me sick.
To be honest both ESPN and the NYP are unreliable so either story could be true.
come on nothing in that report said the Jets wanted him...

I think the expectations and pressure will be unreal next season... Rex is getting what he wanted as well as Johnson the owner.
I wish they werent such media whores because if it werent for the Bengals and Colts not having anything to play for we may have not made the playoffs at all. Although i think we proved our worth winning on the road!
On the show, Tannenbaum said regarding Thomas and the Jets, “maybe down the line… but really nothing imminent right now. We’re going to stand pat with what we have. Maybe down the line, we’ll add a player of two. Nothing on the horizon.”
