If they don't have Favre in the game then that could have something to do with the Vikes rating going down.

And New Orleans was a 94 last year? I didn't realize that.

The Madden folks moved to fix the speed abuse this year, by making the running game more dependent on agility.

Is McNabb that much of a boost? I like the optimism after a 4-12 season.

Dallas went down... ...most considered the Giants and Philly to be better last year

and the Saints went down after winning the SB...

these "last year's rankings" must be the rankings that they finished the year with, that you had to download to see...only way that some of those make sense...so we are just seeing the effects of the off season

CJ's speed in Madden 10 was a 99 (fastest possible) but he was not a great RB in the game because his trucking was so low, if he got touched he fell...

AD had 97 speed, which is pretty much the same as CJs, but his trucking was extremely high, sometimes he would just run over like 3 or defenders and score...

in Madden Ultimate Team, the Peterson card is used much more than CJ because of that, however just like in real life, Peterson's carrying level is very low, so he is very prone to fumbles...

you shouldn't look at it as "abusing speed" because that is what he does in real life...he abuses other teams with his speed...

I have found the game play in Madden 10 be exremely well balanced...maybe the best Madden has ever made

they also released some of the rookies in Madden Ultimate Team...they release like 2 or 3 new ones every week...

the only ratings I know off the top of my head:

Dez Bryant: 85

Ndamukong Suh: 90

Gerald McCoy: 85

Eric Berry: 85

C.J. Spiller: 85

Ryan Mathews: 85

Tim Tebow: 81

Earl Thomas: 81

^^^ those could be completely different than the actual ratings in Madden 11 though...and they have yet to release alot of the rookies, like Bradford

Tim Tebow:

Chris Johnson was not used in Madden 10 like he ran in real life. So yes it was abusing the speed factor of the game. If what Dasher said is correct that Madden 11 addressed this problem then obviously I'm not the only one who saw the problem. Trucking ability is irrelevant when it comes to Madden 10 and someone with speed. If you cant catch them, there is no need to truck. And I loved Peterson but he did fumble and get hurt more than he should have in the game. He definately owned teams but there was times he took a hit and was out for a quarter.

Also there were situations with just most RBs where you gang tackle him and he doesnt go down. Then all of a sudden he breaks out of the group and sprints away from you. Its really a unrealistic and bogus play I've benefitted on and been burnt with. I'm sure those who play Madden 10 know what play I'm talkin about. The guy is stopped in his tracks then all of a sudden breaks loose.

yeah that is what makes AD better...his trucking is so high that he can bust out of group tackles...RBs like Barber and others with huge trucking could do that also...

I am pretty much a legit Madden geek now, and I will tell you this, I am good enough on defense now to where I can pretty much shut down CJ anytime someone brings him, no one can abuse me with CJ....I am much more scared of AD in that game...

not a dumb question, it is an add on that they released for free a while back, and from what I understand it has become so popular that it will now ship with the Madden 11 disk, (not positive on that though)

it is amazingly addictive...kind of hard to explain though

you basically collect "player cards" (like digital football cards) and form your dream Madden team with them...you buy digital card packs, that give you 12 cards of different players...and the ones you like you keep and the ones you don't want you can sell them on auction for people that do want them...

there are cards for every player, and for many different years in that plauyer's career...for instance you could have a Owens 49er card, and Owens Eagles card, and Cowboys, Bills, ect...so alot of the players have multiple cards

some are very rare...like the 2006 Tomlinson I think they only issued 250 of them, so they sell for a TON and are impossible to find

2007 Moss record breaker is another...

I have created a dream Dallas squad...have prime Joey Galloway...2009 Romo...Owens...Felix/McFadden combo...Roy Williams saftey 2003 (when he was good)..ect

it is the a ton fun...gives me the same feeling I got collecting baseball cards as a kid...

That actually does sound like a lot of fun. Sounds like when me and the only other kid in my neighborhood that collected baseball, basketball, and football cards, would spend hours upon hours trading and putting together multiple dream teams.

yes that is exactly what you do...although they don't have a decent trading system down right now...but people do it through messaging and the forums though

I opened a pack the other day that had 99 ranked 2008 Titans Haynesworth that sells for like 13k on the auction block and got all excited like a little boy...

they also release limited edition "insert cards" every week...the cards are only found in packs for one week and then you can't get them anymore unless someone puts the card up for auction...

I have been trying like crazy to get a hold of a Dez Bryant card, but he just sells for too much...

all the rookies are very rare, if you look at the back of the Suh card that I posted, it is valued at 50k...(that is a shit load)
