Default Bobcats this week: Nov. 13 and on

The Bobcats begin a three-game road swing on Tuesday as they
travel to Oklahoma to face the Hornets for the first time this season.
The Hornets started the season with four straight wins but have
dropped their last three contests. Second-year point guard Chris
Paul leads the Hornets with 19.4 points and 9.1 assists.

Charlotte’s road travels continue as it heads to the Lone Star State
for a matchup with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and the Spurs. The
Bobcats are looking for their first-ever win against the Spurs. Duncan
averaged 21.5 points and 9.5 rebounds to lead the Spurs to two wins
over the Bobcats last season. Parker has been the leader for San
Antonio in 2006-07, averaging 24.2 points and 5.3 assists.

The Bobcats will debut their new blue alternate road uniforms on
Saturday as they face the Magic in Orlando. Bobcats fans will get
their opportunity to see the blue uniforms in person two days later on
Monday, Nov. 20, as the Bobcats don their new blue jerseys at
Charlotte Bobcats Arena against Western Conference Champion
Dallas.

Coming back after missing 56 games last season due to injury,
Emeka Okafor, has posted three straight games with 20-plus points
and 15-plus rebounds. Over that span he is averaging 23.3 points
and 16.0 rebounds while shooting while shooting .540 (27-50) from
the field. For the season he is averaging 18.2 points (32nd in the
NBA), 12.2 rebounds (fourth in the NBA), and an NBA-best 3.5 blocks
and 4.7 offensive rebounds.

Over the first six games, the Bobcats have put up some
strong defensive numbers. After finishing last year tied
for third worst in the NBA in field goal percentage defense
at .478, Charlotte leads the league this season, holding
their opponents to .416 shooting from the floor.

In the first six games of the season, guard Brevin Knight
has dished out seven assists and posted double- figure
scoring efforts in each game. For the season he is
averaging a career-best 17.5 points (36th in the NBA), 7.0
assists (tied for 10th in the NBA), and 2.5 steals (fourth in
the NBA). He also is ranked sixth in the league in freethrow
percentage, shooting .946 (35-37) from the charity
stripe.
