Good point. Probably one of the bigger head-scratchers in team ratings change compared to last year. If Oakland had a decent QB last year, they may have won 9 or 10 games.

I don't understand some of the changes in team ratings.

Why did Houston drop 4 points?
Why did Washington improve by SIX points?
Why did the Chiefs improve at all, let alone 3 points?

you are looking at Madden ratings from the END of last year...after the Saints had already won the SB...

only off season moves like McNabb, and Warner retiring would effect anything...

Yeah, I know prime. But why would a team like the Texans drop like that? Why would a team like the Chiefs be better?

the Chiefs could maybe be explained with Berry and McCluster

the Texans I have no idea...who did they lose?

Didn't they lose that sick CB to Atlanta? I forgot his name but I'm pretty sure they did. Maybe Steve Slaton's rating tanked or something and hurt the team overall as well.

Well Philly dropped 6 and Washington added 6, so I assume that is McNabb.

True, but McNabb isn't worth 6 TEAM points anymore.

Cowboys and Redskins' roster ratings released. How is Roy E Williams an 82 overall? What a joke lol. And until I looked at these ratings, I didn't realize how weak the Cowboys are at safety. Sensabaugh is their only decent safety really.

82 is low, that is about right for Roy, who still put up 7 TDs as a number 2 WR...

Austin should be higher than 88...guess they aren't convinced yet

Ratliff should be higher than 94, he should be 96-98 range

Jenkins > Newman...I suppose just like Austin, they need to make sure it wasn't a fluke...

Felix > Barber...although Barber was injured all last year, so maybe that is accurate...I have a feeling that we will see 2007 Barber this year...

Jenkins should be in the mid 90s...he was pretty much shut-down last year...

A. Owusu-Ansah will step in and become a stud FS at some point in time...

Romo at 90 I can live with I guess...

Ratliff should be maybe a couple of points higher, but he shouldnt be a 97 or 98. No way. He is a great DT, but he's not a play-making game changer. There's not that much players who are in the 98-99 range. Ratliff is easily a top 3 DT, but he's not in that area code.

I'd put Felix and Marion around the same ratings, but just make sure their attributes are TOTALLY different b/c they are TOTALLY different backs.

Could you imagine making a living giving all these guys ratings on a video game? I'd KILL for a job like that lol.
