Charlotte has traded Tyson Chandler and Alex Ajinca to Dallas for Dampier, Matt Carroll and Najera, a league source tells Y! Sports.

You can never have too much depth at center IMO. The more quality bigs you have, the better. Defensive wise, having Haywood and Chandler is really tough to go up against. Say they run into a team like the Rockets with Yao. It's going to be tough for Yao to get any kind of rhythm when the Mavs have 2 very solid bigs who know how to play defense.

And they give up Ajinca who has shown flashes of being very solid, this doesn't make sense. Mj should be banned from making moves. He drafted Kwa-May Brown, Adam Morrison, and makes crappy trades. He's just doing horrible at evaluating talent or doing his job drunk or high

It's a nice counter to the Spurs signing of Splitter. Chandler defends Duncan well, and Haywood is a competent defender as well, he shouldn't struggle to guard Splitter.

I have little faith in Tyson playing more than 40 games, he's been so injury-prone the last few seasons. No, I don't like it yet.
