Default GT: Game 9 Clippers @ Lakers 11/21

Los Angeles Clipper(6-2) @ Los Angeles Lakers(7-3)

WHEN: Tuesday, November 20th at 7:30 PM PST and 10:30 PM EST
WHERE: Staples Center in Los Angeles, California
MEDIA: KTLA the CW; NBAtv; KABC 790 AM
Clippers Last Game: 103-97 win vs 76ers
Lakers Last Game: 82-72 win vs Bulls

Clippers Projected Starters

| | | |
Sam Cassell | Cuttino Mobley | Quinton Ross | Elton Brand | Chris Kaman

Key Reserves
Shaun Livingston | Corey Maggette | Tim Thomas

Lakers Projected Starters

| | | |
Smush Parker | Kobe Bryant | Luke Walton | Lamar Odom | Andrew Bynum

Lakers Key Reserves
Jordan Farmar | Maurice Evans | Kwame Brown

Q's Quote:
"It'll be interesting on what Phil uses against the Clippers front line with Odom starting at PF, maybe play some Zone?? Kaman is due to a big game, this may be it and it seems as if Brand has awoken from his slow start. We all know what Dunleavy is going to try on Kobe, with both Ross and Livingston being in there to guard him. Cassell vs Smush|Farmar may mean a ton of points in the post for Sam if Bynum is the only legit PF|C in the game. X-Factor for the game in my opinion are the plays of Luke Walton and Cuttino Mobley for each side. The two least spoken about players on each teams starting unit, and they may end up being the deciding factor if either get hot."

Q's Prediciton: Clippers Win 102-97
Q's Prediction Record: 7-1

I'm excited for this one.

This will be a close one.

but when you said sam would score a lot if Bynum is the only C in the game i have to disagree respectfully there as he contests man many shots.

He is the reason we won many games...keeping LAL close and what not.

Anyways yall good luck to both teams!!!

My reasoning behind that is if Bynum does go help out, that will leave both Kaman and Brand in the paint so Sam can dish it for an easy duece, so unless Lakers play Zone D, like I expect, Sam should keep posting up whoever is on him(unless it's Kobe, Walton, Evans, etc.)

Is Bynam The Lakers starting Center? I will not be surprised if Phil sticks Kobe on Cassell. I think the key to tonights game is Elton Brand. If he is playing at 100% of his game he will turn out to be way too strong for Lamar. I'm really excited about Ross defending Kobe, he has been playing such strong D. If you get a chance check out his numbers for Philly's game. If the Clippers start off the game missing shots like they did against Philly we can forget about it. An effective Kobe Bryant is much harder to stop than Iverson. This should be a great game, both teams need this victory.

If he does that then Mobley and Maggette will just terrorize Walton and Parker and I dont see how Odom can guard Brand.

Lamar is going to guard Brand unless Phil starts both Bynam and Brown.

Phil said hes thinking about starting both Brown and Bynum to match up with the physical frontline in Brand and Kaman.

winner of this game will top the pacific.

I think the key factor in tonight's game for the Clippers is going to be Quinton Ross. You know he's going to show up defensively, but he's off to a great start offensively. IMO, without him, the Clippers wouldn't have half of their wins because pretty much everyone on the Clips have been inconsistent. However, I think this one will end up being close, with the Clips playing the catch-up game and win by 6.

Hmm, that moves Odom to SF, putting Walton to the bench. So, that on the defensive end will have Odom on Ross? Smush on Cassell and Kobe on Mobley? Either way, I have a feeling Cassell and Kaman will lead the way with Brand getting 19/11

Reading some posts in here by Clippers fans make it seem like Clipps are gonna win by 25.

" Sam Cassell is too good"
" Bynum won't do anything"
"

I read the thread about 20 times, no where did I see Bynum won't do anything, nor Cassell is too good. So either your reading wrong or trying to twist words around. If meaning that Cassell will have a field day on Parker|Farmar in the post when Lakers only have one big in the game(No Odom is not a big!), means too good, then yes he is.

Last Game Kobe was put on Kirk Hinrich and Kirk wasn't close to a factor at all. So Phil might put him on cassel which Would make smush gaurd Cuttino which might be better.

Cuttino isnt the type that "blows past". so parker wont struggle much on defense.

8|8 with 4 blocks and a steal for the Kaveman at the half. Maggette with 10 points off the bench.

What I hated was how the Clippers lost control when the Lakers applied pressure, calm your asses down and feed CUTTINO MOBLEY in the post
